Baltimore Ballet is celebrating 21 years in Baltimore, continuing our tradition of outstanding instruction for all ages and professional performances (our annual sold-out The Nutcracker and spring productions) featuring world renowned dancers, aspiring pre-professionals, and children who love to dance.
Conveniently located off of York Road in Cockeysville, our 4,500 square foot state of the art facilities offer 3 large, bright studios with high ceilings, true sprung wood floors and Harlequin Marley surfaces, observation windows into all studios, a large waiting room, and plenty of free parking. Classes are small in size, and are offered for all ages and levels of children, teens, and adults.

It succeeded as action, with Cem Catbas' staging keeping the energy going. As the Zobeide, Evgenia Singur looked the part of harem favorite, moved with pliant elegance and conveyed the decision to kill herself wisely and nobly. Catbas' Golden Slave seemed so driven to consummate his few moments of pleasure that he might have died of exertion and not by the sword.

We participated in Baltimore Ballet for 3-4 seasons. We liked it (pretty much) when my daughter was in the baby ballerina classes (although the facilities aren't that great- the waiting area is very small and dingy). However, once she moved up to the older class, we were very frustrated for a few reasons:
- They are very strict about the clothing for the girls (the emails sent to the parents say that they must wear Baltimore Ballet leotard - $$$- and all pink) and yet the ballet instructors have purple hair and often wear work out clothes. Seems like a double standard
- The nutcracker
