The room was clean enough, and the owners were cheerful and the bed comfortable. But the room was a 3-bunk dormitory, which had the slightly unpleasant smell of occupancy by groups of males, with aftertones of air freshener. I have been fishing up there for years as staying here. It's changed owners last year but new owners are friends with old owners who were fishing friends of mine. They are all good people. The fishing guide they have Fibur is the best. Im the owner of God'z Rod'z and Reel'z and I recomend this lodge for your stay and Fibur for your fishing guide service. In 2015 I landed the largest steelhead in New York and the school house is where stayed!

The owners, Phil and Renee, are some of the most hospitable and friendly people you will meet. They also run a guide service and take people on Salmon and other western NY tribs. I've seen some pics of their guided trips and trust me they are landing some hefty
