A native of Florida, Dr. Golsen attended the University of Georgia, has a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a DMD from the Medical College School of Dentistry in 1993. Dr. Golsen was a clinical instructor at Perimeter College School of Dental Hygiene and an international trainer for Kreativ air abrasion technology training dentists from all over the world on the technology.

Our goal at Golsen Family Dentistry is to make the process of receiving quality dental care as smooth as possible, from the time you enter our dental office to the conclusion of the payment process. We have several payment options to meet your budget and needs. We accept all traditional dental PPO insurances and we will gladly file claims on your behalf.
Preventive care includes routine cleanings designed to keep mouths healthy and identify at their earlier stages any signs of potential problems. It also includes maintenance of the more demanding cases with advanced periodontal care, oral hygiene instructions, radiographs, sealants and preventive resins.

My family and I have been patients at Golsen Family Dentistry for more than 30 years. Dr. Jill Golsen has served all my dental needs in the Alpharetta office since 1996, e.g. filling replacements (removing mercury amalgam), crowns, referrals for implants and porcelain veneers. For Someone who needs to get better about going to the Dentist. My experience at Golson Family Dentistry, Alpharetta, relieved my own personal phobias. I needed a deep cleaning from years of neglect, which I Received at a out of pocket discounted rate. Yesterday I experienced a dental emergency. Dr. Patel saw me right away, determined the issue, answered all of my questions and provided a plan to repair it. He went above and beyond to schedule me in this morning (on a day the office was closed) for a three hour repair. Working along with his dental assistant, Jett, my session was completed as the plan projected. Thank you to both of them for the professional treatment. I highly recommend Golsen Family Dentistry.

Always perfect in everything they do. Most up to date equipment, spotlessly clean and sterile. Warm and friendly staff.
Painless and professional from cleaning to crowns.
Yesterday I saw the awesome Dr. Patel for the first time.
I had an old crown removed and that and another tooth with old fillings repaired and prepped for permanent crowns.
He was friendly, relaxed and efficient. I felt zero pain or discomfort while he quickly got it all done. I can’t even feel the temporary! Thanks also

Dr. Patel and his team are the most amazing staff I have ever received in Dentistry. Not only did they show compassion, but also made me feel very important with follow up after my visit. They were very concerned about how I was doing and very transparent about the next steps. this is an incredible team that care for their patients and it shows. Won’t be going anywhere else.

Although it IS a dental visit, I enjoy going to Golsen Family Dentistry every time I go. This was my first time back since COVID. They were just as warm and friendly as ever and took all safely precautions that one would expect.
Dr. Jill is fabulous and makes you feel more like an old friend than a client. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend them.

This is the best dental group I have ever been to. That said, if you're looking for cheap/bare-bones care (which it looks like some of the other reviewers here were), look elsewhere. Both Dr. Mike and Dr. Jill are the best! My husband and I have been going to Golsen Dentistry since we moved to GA 3 years ago and they have always treated us well. They have given us thorough examinations, gotten us through wisdom teeth removal and crown placements along with the regular 6 months exams. Our mouths have never been healthier. Sometimes they even have hot cookies for you when your exam is complete...who else does that lol? Highly recommend for adults and kids.
