At Advance Home Care, we refer caregivers who can assist in helping individuals maintain an independent and dignified lifestyle. When clients have mobility issues, a referred caregiver can assist with walking, transfers, range of motion exercises, and in assisting the client in being able to get out and about.
Starting the day with a clean bed and fresh clothes gives your loved one a natural boost in confidence for the day. Living in a clean and well-organized environment can promote good health and a sense of well being, which is something that everyone desires regardless of age and physical abilities. That is why caregiver job satisfaction is as important to us as client satisfaction. We measure it every month to make sure we are constantly improving on key areas such as level of support from their managers, constructive feedback, feeling valued and respected, and client assignments that are a good match.
While this is especially crucial for hospitals or other institutional settings with multiple patients in the same building, proper patient identification processes are also important for in-home care. Advance Home Care identifies each client and plan of care by name and their Patient ID number, and a client photo is also sometimes added to files for an additional measure of identification.
Advance Home Care spends a significant amount of time ensuring the caregivers we refer are experienced and licensed, and have the actual hands on experience allowing them to work independently. To ensure safety and security, various background checks are conducted to give a clear and comprehensive picture of the caregiver we are referring to families.
