Materials Testing, Inc. and its subsidiary, KC Engineering Company, are a full-service geotechnical engineering, materials testing, special inspection, and environmental firm. With over 50 years combined experience in the business, we have participated in the development of numerous sites with varying topographic and geologic conditions from the initial site history and resulting subsurface soil investigations to quality control and quality assurance during public and private improvement construction.
Services
KC Engineering's professional engineers and staff help clients evaluate the subsurface condition of a site in order to establish the most geotechnically feasible and cost-effective earthwork and foundation alternative. This involves adequately investigating, sampling and analysis of the earth materials in addition to incorporating our extensive knowledge database from other projects in the vicinity.
KC Engineering was contracted to perform all inspection, sampling, and testing to verify that the construction complies with the plans, Prime Agreement special provisions, and specifications. This included preparation of reports and notifications of non-conforming work/failed tests, records management and record keeping.
Our philosophy is to provide services that are both within the current standard of practice but also include the latest technologies and information. MTI and KC Engineering is one of the best places in town to recieve both field and lab testing for all building needs. They are prompt and extremely accurate. This is due in no small part to their exceptional staff who is both knowledgable and experienced. They perform a wide array of soil testing as well as concrete sampling and testing. I could not reccomend this place highly enough.
