Resolving a legal matter can be stressful and confusing. The skill and experience of your attorney is equally as important as the way in which you are treated throughout your legal relationship. Our goal is to ensure that we meet your expectations on both ends of the equation. Our lawyers are extremely knowledgeable of the law and the legal process, but they are also approachable and responsive.

You will work directly with an attorney at every step of the process. We are firmly rooted in Johnson County, and are a law firm that you will be able to turn toward for any legal matter. Our law office is located in Shawnee, Kansas but we provide service throughout Johnson County, Wyandotte County, and the Kansas City metro area.
Services
Our firm was established in Shawnee to provide exceptional legal services on a personal level. Our law firm was founded by attorney Brett Chapin. We take the time to get to know every client as well as their case. You can turn to our law firm to resolve a wide range of legal matters involving bankruptcy, tax, business, probate and estate law.
Whether your debt is personal or related to your business, there is no doubt that it can quickly overwhelm your life. The amount of money that you owe is not the only cause for stress. Even the simple sound of your phone ringing can be tough. Bankruptcy can relieve your stress and provide you with a fresh start.
Everyone should have an estate plan to address issues and avoid problems that could arise before and after their death. It helps you protect your assets and provide guidance to your family. Without a plan and valid documents, you could face unintended consequences. Incapacitation: Powers of attorney, trusts and other documents can protect you in the event that you are unable to make decisions.
Probate can be a confusing and complicated process in Kansas. If you have lost a loved one, there is one piece of advice that can help make the process much easier. Contact an experienced probate attorney as soon as possible. A will must be submitted for probate within six months after the death to preserve the assets of the deceased.
Tax law is complicated. Resolving tax matters requires experience and knowledge. At Chapin Law Firm, LLC, we are in a unique position to help individuals and businesses in a wide range of tax matters. Our founding tax lawyer and former certified public accountant (CPA), Brett Chapin, has devoted his professional career to matters involving tax, business and finances.

Shelley is the worst attorney that i have ever been associated with. She literally cost me thousands of dollars in my familys Probate case. She loves switch her clients from a Trust to a Will so that you will have to probate your case.and she makes more money.Dont waste your money.
