Sarah is the creator of Fifth Element Hair Studio in Bend, Oregon. She created the nontoxic, sustainable salon experience after finding a disconnect between how she was living and what products she was working with. Her journey has opened the doors to provider a container to hold others journey and what is more telling about our personalities then our hair?!

My first time using this salon, and I was a bit nervous heading into the unknown. I shouldn't have worried as Anna immediately put me at ease, discussing my hair and what I needed from my cut. She offered up her suggestions as to what would work for me, and we took it from there.
It was a nice, relaxing session and I'm happy with how the 'chop' turned out

First time I’ve ever used this hair salon and I will definitely be back for all my future haircuts. Anna was amazing and informed me every step of the way what she was doing, what products she was using and why and transformed my hair into an amazing, sleek, modern hairstyle. I trusted Anna completely with the restyle and she didn’t disappoint. Very attentive, calm and made you feel so very welcome.

Welcoming, bright and very clean place that provided me with professional advice on my new haircut that I eventually simply admire, and tips on how to look after my hair. What is also handy, I had opportunity to buy products that I liked and suit my needs straight in salon which is very time consuming and money saving. Phillip did a great job by bringing back to life my dry and weak hair, can’t thank him enough! Highly recommend as I’m going to definitely come back again.

I have curly hair, which is thicker in some places, just above shoulder length and it has been coloured with a product you can buy for £5- 7 from a chemist etc.
The stylist spent a good amount if time asking what I wanted from the hair cut and gave me very solid advice about hair products and hair care in general at the same time.
After careful consideration he took weight from top of my head by shaping and taking the bulk out.
The style now sits really lovely - around my face but covering my big ears- thankfully- my fringe is not so heavy and my hair is much easier to manage. I am really pleased

The best hair salon experience I have had in many years! Friendly welcoming staff who took extra care of me to understand exactly how I wanted my hair done. Philip was the hairdresser and was fantastic at not only delivering excellent customer service throughout my time there, but listening and doing my hair exactly how I wanted. It goes to show you don’t necessarily have to pay ridiculous prices and go to a renowned hair salon in town, you should put your trust in the smaller salons sometimes too. I was not disappointed and will most definitely be going back there, this time for a colour!

I had my first appointment with Anna at 5th element and I love my new hair. Anna is very professional and spent time consulting with me at start of appointment about my hair and what style would suit me. She told me each product she was using and why. It is the first time I have left a salon extremely happy and not rushing home to wash it or brush it. Would highly recommend.

I’ve been going to here for a few years now and the service has always been amazing! Anna and Philip are always so nice and accommodating every visit I’ve been too. After having hair issues to do with health and a previous bad hair cut experience, Anna has gradually helped me to get my confidence back with my hair and her hair cutting and styling is always amazing and so professional. Philip also is a great men’s barber and recently did my brothers hair which was amazingly cut and he is very pleased with. It’s always rare to find a hairdresser that will take the time to listen or give good

Been going to 5th Element for a couple of years and have always had good professional service. Anna is a really good hair stylist and she always listens to you and gives really good advice.
My Son had Philip who is a trained Barber fir the first time this week and was really pleased with how he cut and styled his hair and will be going back again in future. Would recommend to all my friends and family.
