In 1999, Dr. Charles Crisler opened Toboggan Run Dental along with Dr. Richard Howenstine. Dr. Crisler is a native of Rice Lake and has been practicing here since 1993, after graduating from the University of Minnesota's School of Dentistry. I arrived on time and was immediately greeted by the hygienist and taken to the treatment room. My hygienist was professional, gentle, meticulous and extremely competent. The dentist was through and efficient. The staff was helpful and friendly. The entire experience was terrific. I was very pleased with the care I received at Toboggan Run Dental and highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Engel, and the entire staff have been great. In fact, I have had several dentists over the years in the Twin Cities, and I was not exactly expecting that a Rice Lake dental office would be my favorite. But they are. To a person everyone there is not only professional but genuinely nice. And Dr. Engel is competent and does perfect work. The hygienists are the best. Their entire practice has aspects that are better than any I've worked with so far. Highly recommended!

Our family won't go anywhere else! Dr. Howenstine & Dr. Crisler as well as their team members are absolutely amazing - everyone is kind and attentive. Their waiting room is very comfortable with beautiful, cozy decor. The location of Toboggan Run Dental is great - it is convenient to get to yet is surrounded by some woods/fields which provides some nice scenery while in the waiting room or exam room(s). In addition to a tv, the exam rooms have large windows (floor to ceiling) which allow you to look out at the blue hills, watch bird feeders and at times even spot deer, etc. Scheduling
