My 6 year old daughter has been going there for 2 months and it is going great. She really enjoys getting out and being around other kids, as that doesn't happen often these days. And the class is great.
She is getting exercise, learning self-defense and disciple and Master Kim and Master Jimmy make it really fun for them! They are also very strict about cleanliness and health regulations which I really appreciate!
Would highly recommend.

We have been coming here for a few months now & we love Master Kim! He is wonderful with the students and really has a wonderful balance of encouraging the kids while still inspiring them to work hard and get better, which I think is an important part of being a great coach. If your wondering about this studio definitely give their free lessons a try.

My son came, begrudgingly; prefers all things to electronic. I wanted him to be active and learn discipline.
Master Kim asks for respect by showing respect. He meets the kids at their level. He works with them and really coaches them.
My son LOVES going to Taekwondo. I have zero complaints from him when it's time to go to his class.
I also enjoy watching how timid most kids are when they start as white belts and in just a few sessions, they are showing confidence and strength. It's brings me joy to see our kid

This is my first yelp review ever. I had to write this because I am extremely pleased with Taekwondo USA and had to share with others. I am a school teacher and a dad. I looked around the Whittier and La Mirada area for a Taekwondo center for my 5 year old son. After much research and trying several places I enrolled my son in Master Kim's class. Master Kim and Master Jimmy are extremely good with kids of all ages. They are naturals. They are able to provide a class where students are learning, exercising, having fun, and increasing in confidence.

My son is currently attending Master Kim Taekwondo USA and is enjoying every moment. My son was not interested in any sports so we signed him up to Taekwondo, and he loves it. My husband and I are very happy with the skills and discipline Master Kim teaches in his class. Master Kim works so well with all the kids that attend his classes. As parents we feel very comfortable and we trust Master Kim. My son attends twice a week, he enjoys the classes so much that he wants to attend more. I highly recommend Taekwondo USA to everyone! We got family members in training as well as obtained their black belts here. Master Kim is very dedicated in teaching young minds and advancing their blistering and learning skills. I even took his class in 2004, and now my daughter is closer than ever to the black belt. They have multiple instructors that were prior students and very good friends of mine. Bring your kin here, and make them stronger with every class.

My Two girls have been here for almost a year and they have loved every minute of the classes from day 1! Master Kim makes the class very fun for the kids but at the same time teaching them discipline and to show respect. He brings out the best in my daughters and they look forward to coming to class every week. we plan on being part of the Taekwondo USA whittier family for as long as master kim will have us.
their two weeks trial is a really good deal but be warned, once you come for the basic trial, your kids will love it so much that you definitely will be coming back for good!

Master Kim is the finest TKD teacher in town and maybe even anywhere! We brought our oldest son for four years through to junior black belt. Now we are back with son number two. Master Kim is an amazing teacher with high standards for students but also makes it fun. If you want your child to learn self control, focus, and confidence while also getting much-needed exercise, this is the place for you. We tried another TKD studio (by mistake) and could not to wait to get back here. I would give him six stars if I could!
