Indian Creek Dental is a proud provider of American Sign Language interpreting services for patients who identify as Deaf or hard of hearing and use sign language to communicate. Our staff interpreter, Laureli Hattaway, holds her BEI Advanced certification from the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Shad Hattaway is experienced with all aspects of dental health and has advanced training in dental case management - treatment phasing, and full mouth rehabilitation which examines the functional and aesthetic aspects of the entire mouth, not just one tooth. Dr. Hattaway is particularly skilled with the replacement of completely or partially missing dentition using dentures with implant attachments.
We offer our patients comprehensive dental services, including preventive dental checkups for the whole family, crown and bridge restorations, smile transforming cosmetic dentistry and even same-day emergency care for patients of record in most cases. In my 32 years this is the best dentist office I have visited. They know how to schedule appointments so that the wait time is extremely minimal and the visits are quick, but comprehensive. The Dentist here is not concerned with financing his next boat. He will be perfectly up front telling you he is concerned about your wallet when making decisions and only recommends action be taken when it absolutely must be.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The dentist is a consummate professional. This will absolutely be my long-term dentist facility.

I used to be so anxious to go to the dentist, and when I came to Dr. Hattaway’s office for the first time it had been four years since I had been to the dentist. With the help of Him and his team, I have been able to completely turn around my dental health and hygiene. Dr. Hattaway is very personable, kind, and thorough; he really takes the time to explain everything and makes sure you are comfortable. I recommend him to anybody as he is AMAZING!

So I hadn’t been to the dentist since high school (about 14-15 years ago)… Dr. Shad BLEW MY MIND! He was friendly, funny, honest, and reassuring. He explained things in simple terms without making me feel dumb… Let me know a reasonable course of treatment… and we had a few good laughs while doing it all. I could honestly type a novel about this Dr and his ability to make my family feel comfortable. Will never go anywhere else! Even if he’s a Michigan fan… 🤣🤣🤣

To say that I have dental challenges and have my entire life is an understatement. I try my best to care for my teeth, however, I cannot remember the last time I left an exam cavity-free nor do I think I have one tooth in my mouth that hasn't had a filling or other kind of work done (fillings, crowns, veneers, root canals, gum surgery). Combine that with anxiety/fear of any appointment dental- related and it is a definite pain point that leaves me overwhelmed. I didn’t have dental insurance as a child, so when I got a big girl job with big girl benefits I began my search. I needed a LOT OF WORK.
Without adding the details about my mouth fiasco, I finally got braces put in!
But still didn’t have a dental home because all the dentists I’d seen were not very... ummm... good. 😐
5 dentists later - being referred by my ortho to Indian Creek Dental has been the best thing that has happened to me.
The staff is fantastic and Dr. Hattaway wants the absolute best for his patients.

This is the best dentist I've ever been to!! I was happy from the moment I walked in. Dr. Hattaway and the rest of the staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and he happily explained everything to me in a way that I could understand. The customer service here is top notch, and I'm extremely glad I decided to go here! I'm going to go here for as long as I live in Texas.

Dr. Hathaway is simply the best, he always makes sure you feel so comfortable and makes sure you are well informed on what is happening and what things mean. It was my Husband Eddie's first time here for an extraction. We were referred by our Daughter! He was absolutely pleased with Dr. Hattaway bed side manner! My 12yo has terrible dental anxiety. They were extraordinarily patient with her and she has found new motivation and courage to work on her teeth & gums. Dr. H even called her the next day!
I've now seen them and was surprised the doc himself cleaned my teeth so he could become familiar with my dental care. I also had LOADS of time to ask any & every question I had.
Everyone in the office has been patient, kind, friendly & helpful, from our 1st phone call! They are also doing a great job managing cleanliness

If you are reading this you just won the Dentist Lottery Jackpot. I'm not even kidding, you will be blown away by this team. My husband and I visited them yesterday and Dr. Hattaway cleans your teeth for your first visit. I'm pretty confident this was the most clean they have ever been. We were looking for a place where we felt comfortable and had superb service and they exceeded my expectations. It's no wonder they have raving reviews. He lives up to the reputation.
