As a San Francisco native, I've been so blessed to call it home all my life and particularly love small weddings and elopements with an emphasis on San Francisco City Hall Weddings!
I was first introduced to photography by my Papa, who passed away in 2005, and is one of the main reasons why I became a photographer. Part of me does it to connect with him and keep his memory alive, and part of me is absolutely passionate about it, duh!

Having photographed almost 200 marriages proposals, I am fortunate to be considered a premiere San Francisco proposal photographer! These surprise engagements typically elicit more emotions since they often catch the person unexpectedly - and I love capturing them! With my experience, I will guide you through the process with a number of questions in order to capture the most efficient photos for you!

Coverage with me starts at 4 hour packages which usually covers all the most important parts of a typical elopement day. Most couples choose between 4 - 8 hour days and any package can be customized to fit your needs and wedding timeline. To be honest, engagement sessions aren't really about the photos (although we will make some awesome images together!)

Nothing but positives working with Ian! He was super communicative throughout the entire process, incredibly accommodating with requests, and offered endless advice about how to make sure my proposal went smoothly. Our photos turned out great and he did an amazing job capturing our special moment. He was also one of the only photographers I found with reasonable rates for a short proposal session, so you're not only getting a stellar photographer, you're also getting a great deal. Can't recommend enough!

Ian was amazing in helping to set up and capture my proposal. He was easy to communicate with beforehand and provided specific instructions to make the process run smoothly. Then he joined us for an after party and got some more great shots. Right away he felt like an old friend, which helped everyone feel relaxed, instead of freezing up in front of a big camera. He’s a great guy and a great photographer. I was very happy with my choice.

We are absolutely thrilled that we chose Ian for our engagement photography. We typically do not enjoy having our photo taken but with Ian, it was an absolute pleasure. Not only does he have a natural talent for seeing the beauty in everyone and everything but he also knows exactly how to capture breathtaking moments that we will never forget. With all that said, Ian's best quality is that he makes the process extremely fun and entertaining. We couldn't stop laughing while working with him. In the end, the photos came out AMAZING.

Ian was our wedding photographer and was easily the best decision we could have made! He took so many great candids and made everyone look so happy! I don’t know how he does it. I honestly don’t even remember seeing him I felt like he wasn’t even there the entire day.

Visiting from Toronto, I wanted to surprise my then girlfriend with a marriage proposal first (which I did in Muir Woods the day before working with Ian) while visiting San Francisco. Looking on for the best engagement and wedding photographers in San Francisco yielded a bunch of results, but Ian's work stood out the second I clicked on his website.
