I've had a great experience with JEK. The staff is super helpful and the apartments are affordable. Paying rent is easy and maintenance requests are handled quickly. We had a long drive before moving in and when I arrived, they had a bag waiting on the counter full of paper plates, kitchen utensils, and a pizza in the freezer. I highly recommend JEK.

Over 5+ years in a JEK apartment, their managment has continued to improve! The updated online portal for managing payments and maintenance was very convenient, and it was matched by responsive maintenance. They were proactive about most building maintenance also. Only negative was a musty basement storage that destroyed all my cloth items with white mold spots. A dehumidifier would have been appreciated. Other than that, I wish I could have stayed with JEK longer! 5 stars service and value!

JEK property management team has helped me in many ways. They are a very friendly group of people. I've only been living in my unit at the Adeline Apartments for 6 months, and I've been very happy with my stay. All the updated appliances have made it much more easier to avoid contacting maintance for any minor issues that would normally annoy anyone. I love how affordable the rent is, but not only that, the apartment is affordable and modernized which is exactly what most people would be looking for. During this pandemic I ran into some financial difficulty and when everything was falling apart

I am relocating to the Madison area and was in desperate need of an apartment that met a lot of very specific needs. Danielle and Sophia have been more than accommodating. We did a virtual tour and decided to apply for a lease the same day! We liked Danielle that much! The service has been prompt and courteous. Can't wait to move in!

When I first moved into JEK Properties, they had provided paper plates, a frozen pizza, paper towels and toilet paper. I had never had this type of experience from an apartment before. I thought this was so completely kind and considerate. JEK Properties has always been extremely professional and kind with very fast response times. During winter the snow is always plowed and side walks cleared for the tenants. I lived at "The Ridge" apartment complex for two years and I really enjoyed renting from JEK.
Cons:
- Their apartment complexes are in a less safe part of Madison
- The buildings are older.
If you know both of those things going in, it shouldn't be a problem. I can honestly say I really didn't feel unsafe living at The Ridge.
Pros:
- Their apartments are affordable while still close to downtown.
- The staff was accommodating as possible. I had late fees waived a couple of times.
- They're very prompt. I never waited more than 24 hours on maintenance requests.
- I got almost my entire security
Cons:

We have lived in a townhome managed by JEK Properties for the past three years and have been extremely pleased with their professional, high quality, flexible, and timely management of concerns and problems. They were able to work with us to foster a dog and also were able to accommodate a shorter lease renewal while we were looking for a home to buy. The prices are great, and our location was close to so many things, including downtown and campus, without being noisy or streets too busy. We highly recommend JEK Properties!

This will be my third year living at this complex and I don't plan on moving until I am done with school. The management team is absolutely wonderful. They are a big part of the reason I keep signing my lease. The maintenance crew is friendly as well and their work order response is quick. The apartments are cozy and clean and the two bedroom units are incredibly spacious. These complexes are near a transfer point, so getting to and from campus (or around Madison for that matter) has never been a hassle. If you need a place to live I highly recommend checking JEK out.

I love JEK Properties! I moved to Madison in August 2017 and have loved our experience with JEK. The people are what make it a great place. Sarah H. our leasing consultant answered every question I had before we moved from Ohio. It was a list over 30 questions long and she took the time to throughly answer each question. Every little issue we have had has been resolved quickly and pleasantly! The maintenance staff is always on point and very kind. Thank you Gregory, Tim and Tim! Kari has helped us several times getting automated payment issues resolved and aided us in our re-leasing endeavors.

Fantastic property company. They were so accommodating, flexible, friendly, and understanding all throughout my yearlong lease with them. The units are affordable and clean, and maintenance was always prompt and thorough in helping us with any issues that we had in the apartment. My apartment at Southview was so cute and got tons of sunlight. The best part about JEK is how much they care. They truly want everyone to have a place to call home and see their tenants as people! Couldn't recommend highly enough.
