Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport system that focuses on self defense, grappling and especially ground fighting. BJJ promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves or another against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent.
Our Beginners Program will give a thorough self defense curriculum. Focus will be on fundamental Jiu Jitsu techniques, as well as an introduction to all positions. This is where we build you up, not tear you down. In many academies there is a throw "them" to the wolves mentality.
At ours, we breed success by giving all our students the tools and experience necessary in a positive and supportive environment Sparring in class will be limited to positional training, Developing a purposeful training environment that builds good habits. Our Intermediate program will continue where beginners left off delving deeper into more advanced technique as well as competition Jiu Jitsu and more free training.

The Kids (4-7) program is designed to introduce your child to Jiu Jitsu while teaching them important life skills. Your kids will learn Jiu Jitsu and build coordination through playing games that incorporate BJJ techniques. BJJ is the best martial art for bully prevention and defense. Teaching kids how to deal with bully's first verbally and by physically controlling them with out having to kick or punch.

I have been training here for about a year and a half and absolutely love it. I started with zero experience, but Coach Whit and other students made me feel so welcome. Coach is super detail oriented and clear in his instruction. Not only has training made me more confident and in shape, but I've made some amazing friends.

Joining a gym to start learning jiu jitsu has been so far outside of my comfort zone, but Inspire has, from day 1, made me feel welcome to the fold. Coach Whit is great at breaking down techniques not only into the what's, but also the why's of each detail. The classes are engaging, the workout is much more intense than I originally anticipated, and the community at this gym is amazing. Especially as a female from a self defense point of view, it is very empowering to learn some of these techniques and to be confronted by lots of situations that could cause absolute panic, but then being shown

I had the opportunity to train at Inspire Bjj while visiting Ft. Collins last week and came away very impressed. I felt very welcomed from the start and as a lower belt appreciated the structure of class. Coach Whit does a great job of focusing on the components of each movement while keeping in mind that everybody moves different and has varying ability. I especially liked the stressing of good hygiene while training. Something that can't be overstated in this sport. I would definitely recommend this school if you're wanting to give jiu jitsu a try. And next time I'm in town I'll absolutely go

Over the past year, I have attended over 60+ fundamental and intermediate classes with Head Instructor Whit. I can confidently say that after each class attended, my Jiu Jitsu knowledge and confidence increased. From day one, I could sense that he cared about helping each student that stepped on the mat. It was a common thing to see Head Instructor Whit helping students of all belt levels before and after class. This example of going the “extra mile” built an environment in our Academy that promoted helping new students to stick with Jiu Jitsu. I saw it time and time again.

Had a great time training with Inspire BJJ today. The instruction portion pays attention to detail, and the extended drilling makes sure you don’t forget it. Thomas has a great focus on the mat, constantly walking around correcting us beginners. Very constructive and supportive atmosphere, wish I could train here more often!

Inspire BJJ Academy is a phenomenal and informative school. Coach Whit’s instructional curriculum is easy to understand and effective. He goes above and beyond to provide guidance to each individual while being attentive to all students. He ensures a professional attitude both on and off the mat while maintaining a fun and safe environment. Inspire BJJ is a welcoming school to everybody who steps in and is one that I would highly recommend.

I have been going to this gym for about 1 month, I started with no martial art experience and I have loved it. Coach Whit is humble, pays attention to detail, welcoming to new comers, takes time to answer questions, and is clearly dedicated to raising up his students. Us students range from young college students to U.S. Veterans to parents, so there is a good mix of differnt walks of life and a spot for everybody, and we are always excited to have new teammates. The facilities are always clean and the mats are cleaned every night. It is a great way to stay in shape, learn to protect yourself,

Great people and a great atmosphere to train in. The instructor definitely knows his stuff. I've been a lifelong student of Japanese martial arts and I learned a lot in a small session. I would absolutely reccomend this school! If you're looking for great Jiu Jitsu, an awesome workout or looking to round off your training, you'll definitely find what you're looking for here.

This place is GREAT and the people who teach and train here are even better! I haven't trained BJJ in over 9 years and was welcomed with open arms by Thomas and his students. No ego's, no machoism... just knowledgeable and humble people training hard, sharing info, and trying to make everyone else better. I will definitely be back to train here and would highly recommend this spot to anyone new to BJJ and experienced practitioners alike.
Keep up the great work Thomas and Team Inspire!!!
