Situated in the bustling heart of Dupont Circle is The Pembroke, a sophisticated dining destination. Featuring contemporary American fare with global influences, The Washington Post's Tom Sietsema described the experience as "cut from a different cloth, " and awarded the restaurant 2.5 stars.
The Pembroke's stunning design by Martin Brudnizki features plush velvet coral-toned banquettes around glossy marble tables, cream-paneled walls with playful artwork, and boasts panoramic views of the neighborhood, while a seasonal terrace offers al fresco dining from spring to fall. The marble-topped bar is a bright and airy nod to cocktail bars of the 1950s and features classic drinks with a twist and a selection of fine wines.

Tried out the pembroke for a friends birthday. I didn’t realize it was in the hotel so once I realized that it was much easier to find! The restaurant itself is super cute and bright. The food was pretty good but man the service was not great. I know things are crazy now and I’m sure they were very short staffed. The food and drink is pretty pricey as well which I didn’t really feel made it worth it. I’m not sure I’d go back but definitely glad I was able to give it a try.

We had a special time at the Pembroke a few weeks ago. Our server, Tammy, provided us a unique experience that showed she was paying attention. I had the burger ($20 + $9 for the fries), two glasses of Riesling (around $40) and we split a desert and appetizer (around $40). All was great! Ambiance matches the quality of service; we were a little loud but I don't think so much that it upset the other diners too much. Great for a quality dinner before a night out.

I came with my mom and daughter for brunch on a Saturday morning without a reservation and the host was very sweet and accommodating. The place is beautiful and our food and drinks were delicious. Get the bloody Mary! I would definitely come back the next time we are visiting D.C. and look forward to coming again.

Waited over 1 hour for our meal when they only had 1 other table when we arrived tonight. Food was served to our table barely room temperature let alone hot tasteless and honestly the worst meal I have had and to pay over $370 for it was extremely disappointing. When we told them our food was cold and not good they did not seem to care which honestly made it more disappointing this is the only time I have ever felt compelled to write a review we are staying in the hotel also which is very nice but don't bother eating here if I was you it will be a huge let down.

We went to the Pembroke for my husband's birthday - it was marvelous! Great ambience in the evening, excellent food, fantastic service. The place looks absolutely lovely in the evening and the food was really excellent. Staff went out of their way to make it special for the birthday celebration, will certainly come back again!

Very very very very poor service. Wait crazy long for our food and food is cold already upon serving. Definitely not worth the price. There are hundreds of restaurants in DC that serves way better food and service. Also, the manager was unwelcoming and insulting their customers. It seems like they don’t need customer at all. So treat yourself better, find a better place to eat especially on your special events.

Lovely place for brunch! The service is really excellent and the drinks are great. I have been here twice since they opened (only for brunch) and have been really pleased with the service.
The first time I went I ordered the frittata and the second time I got the breakfast sandwich. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich -- this one is great!
The peach Bellini is a personal favorite of mine here but their Bloody Mary looks incredible too.
What I love the most about the Pembroke is their 1920s vibe. The bar very much has an Art Deco feel and is so gorgeous.

First time at The Pembroke, but definitely not the last. Stupendous experience. The ambiance is elegant, warm and welcoming. Impressive wines selection and authentically genuine food. I particularly appreciated the knowledgeability, professionalism and affability of the staff; they made wonderful recommendations. Overall, A+.

This is a lovely restaurant with beautiful decor and charm. Perfect for brunch atmosphere on Sundays. The food was delicious. I recommend the eggs Benedict and the egg white frittata! Having said that I was very disappointed in service. I realize that with the "Great Resignation" many services are short staffed (my company being one of them) and very understanding of wait times and need to adjust for everyone across the board. After 15 minutes of waiting, we saw the waiter go to greet and take the order of a couple that just sat down a minute ago. Our food and drinks came about 10 minutes

Easily the best item there was the French toast, the presentation is unique! And it tasted wonderful, however there was a side that was definitely undercooked. The insides could have been cooked more as well. The avocado toast was 2nd best, it had a strong pleasant taste with the additional greens on it but I expected more flavor. The egg sandwich and a chocolate croissant we had was the most disappointing and thought it had the potential to blow our minds

Located in the once trendy DuPont Circle neighborhood is the Pembroke which is open for breakfast and lunch. This review is for the breakfast.
It's great and cheap with unlimited American coffee brewed by Lavanza. What else do I have to say? The 2 eggs come with toast(choice of white, wheat, rye), hash brown, roasted tomato and a choice of wide ranging sides (from berries to chicken sausages, avocados, and smoked salmon) all for less than $20.00. The atmosphere is mid century retro modern chic. Leo our server was great and engaging.

Beautiful and classy Ambiance! Love love the dining area. This restaurant is right in the heart of D.C giving elegance and class. The food is delicious and quite affordable. The wait time for your meal can be a tad minute. I do wish the brunch menu was extensive and not limited :( overall beautiful restaurant and wonderful service.

Avocado Toast, Egg White Frittata, pancakes.
Group of 6 went for brunch.
I'd gave a 3 star based on their really poor reservation system.
I gave four stars because some of the foods were unique and our server was epic. They covered their mistake with off the brunch menu dessert.
The frittata and creme brulee dessert were the two best vegetarian dishes.
I wouldn't pay the premium for the pancakes though. The quality was the same as any I could get at IHOP. It was quite dry and rubber-like even with the maple syrup.
Lastly the reservation system was horrendous. I called them there

Where do I begin?
1. Got the corn beef hash... all beef no hash or bell peppers. Really disappointing
2. Also got the tostadas which ended up being the TINIEST things. They were advertised as an entree and you could eat one of them w one bite. We asked our server about them and she never mentioned the size. Mind you that normal tostadas are pretty big. These crackers were $18
3. They brought out 2 out of our 6 meals and made 4 of us wait around. It would of been much better if they brought out all of our meals at once
4. They charged us $14 for a drink with NO alcohol... just juice
5. All of

I went to Pembroke for brunch, as currently they are only open on the weekend for brunch (the waiter told us that is changing in July). The ambiance was lovely, and it felt like we had been transported outside the city. The service was friendly, although a bit slow.
I had a mango mimosa, which was delicious, and the breakfast sandwich on gluten free bread. I was so excited they actually had gluten free bread as an option! It was exactly what I wanted, and of course, I'm always a sucker for fries.
I definitely will be going back!

I had such a nice experience at this restaurant! What stood out the most: the interior design and the customer service.
The ambiance is really what sets this place apart from the rest! The bar and patio areas are gorgeous (see pics). If you need some cool social media photos this is the place for you!
Another thing that stood out to me was the customer service. I'm not kidding... I have not experienced that level of service in a long time. EVERYONE was so polite, personable and extremely accommodating to all of our requests! A+
The food.. I ordered the pancakes, eggs and pork sausage.
