Services
Our Corvallis and Lebanon offices have some of the MOST EXPERIENCED hand therapists to care for your upper extremity rehabilitation needs. We have both OCCUPATIONAL and PHYSICAL THERAPISTS who through advanced training and clinical experience excel at the treatment of pathological upper extremity conditions resulting from trauma, disease, congenital or acquired deformity.
In normal joints, the end of the bone is covered with cartilage that serves as a shock absorber to allow smooth, pain-free movement. In osteoarthritis, that cartilage layer wears out, resulting in direct bone-to-bone contact and producing pain and deformity. One of the most common joints to develop osteoarthritis in the hand is the base of the thumb.

Dr. Pennington was thorough and did a good job with my labrum surgery. As an athlete I needed the surgery to return me to as close to preinjury strength and mobility as possible. I believe that Dr. Pennington did that. 9 months out from operation, I have full mobility and better strength than I did before the injury. I am thankful for all of the staff at the office and in the hospital!

I have had surgery on both of my shoulders.
Dr. Pennington is by far the best surgeon to have for Rotator cuff surgery.
My shoulders were very painful and I couldn't move my arms out and up without causing me great pain.
Thanks to Dr. Pennington I can once again move my arms pain free.
Thank you so much Dr. Pennington.
You are the greatest.
I recommend. Dr. Pennington to everyone I know.

I wanted to go to a sports medicine doctor for my shoulder and I am grateful to have found Dr Pennington, who specializes in shoulders.
Although, it is an 1 hour and a half driveto get to Upperhand, in Corvallis, it is worth it. The staff is professional, but friendly. Dr Pennington and his assistant explained in detail what was going on with my shoulder and answered all my questions regarding surgery and recovery. A course,, I had to be diligent with P.T. afterwards, but I am very pleased with the outcome.

Everyone at Upper Hand Orthopaedics is very cordial, organized, and exceptionally professional. Specifically, I had my frozen shoulder recently evaluated by Dan Stenger who supports Dr. Pennington. Dan has a wonderful demeanor, many years of experience, and an outstanding knowledge base. He provided excellent care and I'm now on the mend. I highly recommend this practice for all your orthopedic needs.

I had a severe rotator cuff injury on my dominate side. Dr. Pennington took the time to explain the surgery and recovery process both before and after the procedure. He ensured that I had physical therapy and actively monitored my progress over many months. He was kind and encouraging. I would highly recommend him to anyone facing orthopedic surgery.

Don't break your hand (oops), hurt your wrist, fracture your arm, etc. If, god forbid, you do injure your upper extremity, I recommend Dr. Tsai at Upper Hand Ortho. He will not cut you, unless he thinks you need it. He also has certified hand therapists on staff to help you get back to functioning and using your upper extremity. I say certified hand therapists, because they receive extra training in the hand/wrist. Before coming to see Greg here at Upper hand Ortho, I saw another occupational therapist who was not a CHT. However, she works in an office where there is ONE hand therapist and
