I spend a lot of time out on the water so I get both direct sun and reflected sun. Although I use sunblock and wear a gator, I still occasionally develop a mild form of skin cancer and pre-cancers. I am comfortable in the knowledge that I can depend on Midstate Skin Institute to do an examination of my skin every six months and to take whatever steps are necessary to prevent or remove any further skin cancers. I am well pleased with their professionalism and thoroughness. They are very courteous and respectful in their dealings with me and make me feel that I truly matter. I highly recommend Midstate

Made an appointment showed up and got in and out pretty quick. Check in was super quick and I waited maybe 10 minutes before I got seen. Didn’t sit in the room long before the Doctor came in. Also this place looks newly remodeled it’s super clean all nice hardwood no old dusty carpet and good lighting also was nice and well light. The staff was great also they were friendly and answered all my questions.

This was my very 1st visit and I am very happy to have found a place that truly helps u. I have NEVER been to a doc where she checked me from head to toe. My condition that I have is very painful and she knew exactly what it was where other dermatologist didn't know. I will definitely be back. Colby Beck is the best. I am so happy I found this place.

Love Midstate skin and Colby Beck!!!!!! She is professional, friendly and knows her business. She can freeze, cut, and inspect you so fast. I'm so impressed with her knowledge too, my arms were itching to the bone,,,so miserable, I called the office and they got me right in, I thought some spots on my arms were causing it. She knew in an instance it was nerve damage and ordered me some cream. The cream worked instantly, and has not been a problem since. Thank you Colby!!!!

5 star office. I had 4 consultations and a treatment in one day. Everyone was coming in one right after another. Talk about customer service.. spot on!! Thank you for making my first appointment with your office enjoyable, you just never know on your first visit. The Office was very clean and modern. I was taken on time with no wait. However I made an appointment with the doctor not one of her assistants. When I called to confirm my appointment I asked them if I was going to see the doctor, not an assistant. Their answer was yes, however that was not the case . This was my first time there. I felt her assistant was in a rush to get to her next appointment after she gave me a skin exam. She did not even ask if I had a skin routine or what I was using. Why is there only one location that does treatments? ( lasers , facials). I'm use to the doctor and assistants doing the laser treatments

I have used a number of dermatologists in Ocala over the years and when my last dermatologist retired I began using Midstate Skin about three years ago. Simply put, they are EXCELLENT and I would not consider using any other dermatologist. Dr. Ashley Cauthen and the office recently added an accomplished Moh's surgeon--Dr. Jessin Blossom--to their staff. So far, Dr. Blossom has surgically removed two squamous cell carcinomas, one from my face and one from my back area....and the lack of much visible scarring is a true testament to her expertise.
