Our Enlighten level stylists have completed their state required cosmetology training and our in-salon new hire training program. They are typically newer in the industry and sometimes collaborate with more seasoned stylists to ensure proper color formulating and product placement.

From the moment I walked in and was greeted by a staff member, I knew I was coming to a place that I would love. The professionalism and posh qualities were evident from the moment I stepped in. The Aveda experience is best when combine with all of the things they offer. From a hand massage, scalp massage, and a quick neck massage to the heated wraps that they use, you will know that they care about your experience when you come here. Jill is my hair stylist and she always does amazing! She gives great cuts and is an excellent colorist! At Joli, they give neck massages and hand massages as a part of you cut appointment. They also have options like brow tinting and a conditioning treatment that lasts for a while! I get one ever time and it lasts 8 weeks! It's a bit pricey, but the service is worth it! I greatly enjoyed my experience! I received excellent care. My visit was so relaxing. I enjoyed hot tea, a hand massage, a wonderful shampoo/condition and an excellent haircut. All of the staff is very nice and friendly. All the stylists listen to what you ask for. All of the Aveda products they use are great and healthy for all types of hair. I have seen Kasey multiple times and she always does a great job. I always look forward to appointments at Joli.

Joli Salon was recommended to me from someone in another state prior to moving to Lexington. The stylist is Jill, and she did not disappoint in any way. Jill is an amazing with coloring and highlighting, and is a true artist and stylist with the scissors! She always discusses any changes I might want in my hair style or color. It’s relaxing and soothing when she gives the client a relaxing neck rub with an essential oil. When my hair is shampooed, and conditioner is placed, I receive a delightful and hand and arm massage, which relaxes each client even further. I feel blessed that I found Jill

This is a very good and clean salon. I have been there few times, but the styles I need, would require a flat iron. They do not use flat irons at this establishment, so I get my hair dried with a big roll brush and as my husband says, "sometimes I look like a mushroom" and too poofy.
The two prior haircuts, really needed a flat iron to be straight, and to see what it would look like on me. It looked different being dried with a roll brush. So, I went to get an ombre and they gave me highlights. First, I waited nearly 6 hours to have my hair done. My stylist was late, that's okay, it happens. But then, she asked me if I wanted it dimensional. I didn't know what that meant and so I said yes. I guess that's my fault, but I really feel like she should've explained that my hair wouldn't look like the photos I was showing her. My whole day off from work was spent there and for a little over $200, I didn't get what I wanted. I was so upset, I tried to like it, but I couldn't. The talent in this place is amazing! Since going to Joli, I have had 5 stylists and I have not received a bad color nor haircut from any of them. My current stylist is Tiffany and she is phenomenal! She has such a positive demeanor and an eye for detail. She has taken my fine, limp hair and transformed it into a thick, stylish bob. Joli also takes great care of their guests. I love the location and the services. When you walk in you get a drink, then a neck massage with peppermint oil, then a heavy blanket and a hand massage. All of these are amazing, but inconsistently done. Also my esthetician left so now I have to go to multiple places. I really like the services offered here but it seems a little disorganized at times. They recently stared selling clothes which are overpriced but normal boutique style. I enjoyed getting my hair done and picking out an outfit for a date night. Tiffany is always so positive wen she does my hair and never complains when I want to

This spa uses Aveda which is why it gets at least 2 stars since I love Aveda!
But, I scheduled a Brazilian was, eyebrow and upper lip. What they failed to tell me is it was the esthetician's first day out from school. Why on earth would you have her do a BRAZILIAN WAX!!!!!!!!!!
Literally the most painful, awkward wax. The girl was SO sweet though I just couldn't say anything to her. But honestly she still has no clue how to spread the wax or pull it or anything! So of course I was there almost 2 hours. Annnnd I get home and my nether regions are covered in wax still, and also hair. What

I went to Jill, and she was simply amazing. She cut my curls to perfection and solved my problem of thinning hair by cutting in longer layers.
Jill also gave me a great massage on my neck and shoulders.
The customer service is excellent too. While I was waiting for my sister's hair to be done, I was offered their delicious hit tea and a warm, scented compress for my neck and shoulders.
I made my return appointment already!

I had an absolute amazing experience with Madeline as my stylist. It was my first time going Ombré and was really worried about it looking good. Not only did she do an INCREDIBLE job, but also when a few front pieces came out a little lighter than expected, she told me if I don't like it to come back and she would change it for no extra charge. I am 100% satisfied with my hair and would recommend this salon to everyone!!!

Okay I have to start by saying I have never had a better experience at a hair salon! Keely is a DREAM! She is an expert colorist and gives an amazing haircut. Black hair is REALLY hard to dye without damaging and she did an incredible job giving me the exact caramel tone I want. I am seriously going to trust her to go even lighter next time. From start to finish this place was incredible. They offer you water, coffee, or tea upon arrival and get everything right down to the details of hand massages and warm pillows and eye masks during a shampoo. Go to Joli and try and see Keely, you will not regret

I've had excellent experiences with massage, eyebrow wax, and hair cuts. You truly get the "spa" treatment each visit even when just popping in for a quick wax. I appreciate their wanting the client to enjoy each moment from walking in to checking out.
Carrie, the esthetician, is top notch and LeAnn provides a fabulous hairstyle at a very competitive rate. I've moved from Voce to Joli due to the extra touches offered to make your experience special.

JOLI was a great experience! I was forced by my beautiful fashionista wife to come here for a "treat" because she previously came here and loved it! I'm so glad I did! When you first arrived, they offered you coffee or tea, like a spa. They were expensive coffee or tea but it was a nice gesture and immediately made you feel at ease. They started off my haircut with a head massage with some essential oil, which was nice. My stylist was friendly and helpful, she really listened to my needs. Fantastic service, products, and ambiance. I've had everything from hair to facials to waxing done here, and really have no interest venturing elsewhere. I like that my hairstyles come with a mini massage and some aromatherapy, and that the products are a bit more natural than at many other salons. This is the one salon I don't leave with a massive headache from all the fumes. Music is a nice indie station, and the lighting is actually muted, thank goodness. Like a lot of aveda salons, All of the staff here are sweet and helpful, I did my wedding hair and makeup plus a trial. Anna S was my stylist and I can't even begin to say how awesome she was! So sweet, funny, energetic and did an amazing job! Highly recommend! Tip: you cannot tip with your card so bring cash.

I recently moved to Lexington from Hawaii, and was nervous about finding a new hair stylist. I have long, highlighted hair that I only trust a few people with. I found Joli Salon through a Google search for an Aveda salon, and was impressed by all of the positive reviews.

Quite by fate, I found this quaint but lovely salon and spa and fell into the hands of darling young Keeley. She has become my favorite monthly meeting. Even the simple haircut offers you more than any other salon in Lexington (trust your girl on this - I've had some hurr DID up in this town!). The soothing smell of lavender and clary sage when you walk through the door immediately relaxes you and if you're lucky enough that your stylist is running behind, you'll probably be offered a hand massage. Keeley continues to check my comfort level throughout my visit, offering drinks, etc

I went to Joli for the first time last September and found that you are treated like a Goddess there! It's an AVEDA salon, so it automatically smells like Eucalyptus and spa-like smells. They give you tea or coffee to drink while you wait and I also got offered a back massage! The scalp and hand massage is also a nice bonus! I liked my hair cut and will definitely go back again. On top of all this pampering, I found that the prices are VERY reasonable, especially for the Lexington area. Will definitely be making another appointment there!

I went to Joli for the first time today for a haircut. WOW! The service was impeccable and the staff was unbelievably knowledgeable and friendly. I love the fact that they are an Aveda salon and use their products on clients. I had my haircut by Jill, she was AWESOME!
