Express RDU- They saved the day!!! My son's flight was canceled suddenly on his way to my mothers funeral in the West Coast. It was stressful. After rescheduling, my son's new flight was set for a 5:30 a.m. departure. Needing a VERY early taxi, we crossed our fingers called Express Rdu Taxi and spoke directly to owner Gopal. He put our mind at ease, and helped arrange a driver to pick our son up at 3:30 in the morning so that he could arrive to the airport in time for a rescheduled 5:30 AM flight to the West Coast. I made a decision to book a private car rather than rely on Uber. I sent the request the morning of and woke up at 0445 to a text confirming my request. My car arrived at 0543, two minutes early. COVID practices in place, clean car, enjoyable ride. I will definitely use this service when traveling through Raleigh. I prefer the peace of mind over other services.

I called for a ride to my vet. Two round trips with a total of about 18 miles. Upon delivering me to the vet driver advised that the cost would 160 USD. I am not familiar with going taxi fares and I had to get my ailing cat to the vet so I reluctantly paid it.
When I got home, I made some calls to other cab companies and was told that the fare should have been around $60.
I am an older woman on a fixed income from Social Security and even $60, altho fair was more than I can afford.
I cannot recoup my $100, the claim is small, so I have no legal recourse. I am writing this review to help

My father had surgery at Duke, and we needed a car service to help my mother get to and from the hospital every day. I called so many different car services and either got outrageously high quotes, really unprofessional treatment, or just told that they don't offer accounts for daily service.

Don't trust this cheap imitator!
Our trip was delayed due to driver being over 15 minuets late. It then took us more time to get to the airport as the driver got lost trying to get out of our subdivision. We were then not able to check in for our flight. We now have hundreds of dollars in unexpected travel reschedule costs and are delayed on our international trip. Should have done more research and picked the only official taxi of RDU taxi inc. Who have a much more professional operation with call center and text confirmation. Will never use express RDU Taxi again!!!

Couldn't say enough great things. They were responsive, on time, friendly. The car was comfortable and Basu, the driver, was very personable. They texted me to let me know the car was on its way. Worry free ride! I had trouble with an online reservation which they might want to investigate but very easy on the phone to schedule. Had the security of contacting a real person versus Uber although slightly more expensive- well worth it!! Highest recommendation

Great, comfortable, reliable service. I use them exclusively now. Not as cheap as Uber, but especially for business and for repeat travelers, what I need to avoid anxieties of travel. Last night, pickup arrived at my home in Chapel Hill on time for my 7:30 pm flight. But I stayed at home as American kept postponing flight by 15 minutes and then finally cancelled at 10 pm. No problem, no pressure. He arrived promptly at 5:20 am next morning on time for my follow up flight. Using this service at least twice a week, both ways for months, and has yet to disappoint.

Pretty stressful. The mini-van was ~30 minutes late, scheduled for 3:45am, arrived at 4:12am (they had to send another driver because the original driver got a flat tire), but at 3:47am I received no word and had to call them. Both the coordinator over the phone and the driver answered promptly and were both nice and apologetic, and this situation seemed out of the ordinary. Will probably try again if I have an earlier flight. From Duke campus (2 stops) to RDU was $42 without tip (there was also a miscommunication from the email confirmation, as the driver told us it was $45)

I needed transportation from home to Duke University Medical Center in Durham. They arrived with plenty of time to get to my appt on time in a very nice towncar. The driver opened the doors for me. When I was finished with my appt, they had me call and were at Duke within 10-15 mins. Very courteous, nice comfortable and clean car. Will use them whenever I need transportation. Will also recommend them!!

Everything was on-time and professional. The driver was familiar with alternate routes to avoid morning traffic on our way to the airport. For our pickup, we received a text the day of our flight that the driver would be monitoring our incoming flight to know when to pick us up. Upon arrival, we received a text and voicemail that he was waiting and where to meet him. The service also asked the number of people being picked up as well as the number of bags. This information was used to determine which vehicle they would send.

These guys are scammers... 1) they claim to have town cars but will send crappy taxis... the one they sent to pick me up was dirty, the front glass was all dirty and difficult to see. 2) so unsafe to drive with them. Car is way too old. Driver also handles all calls to this number. So imagine the driver is picking all the phone calls. At one point driver was talking on two mobiles at the same time and driving, and to remind all this when it is difficult to see through the front glass because it's all oily and difficult to see at night. 3) So freaking unprofessional in conversation.

Express RDU Taxi is very, very reliable and always arrives on time with pleasant drivers. We are new transplants in the area from NYC and used to driving Uber when in need. Being further out of the urban centers of Raleigh or Durham, as we are, there is no way we can rely on Uber for early flights.
Gopal, the owner, is always so pleasant and helpful with advice on the region.
I highly recommend their service for newcomers and long-time residents alike who need a reliable and friendly service.
