Diesel Engines require optimal Fuel Quality for Peak Performance and Reliability. Fuel, however is inherently unstable. Fuel breakdown is unavoidable, and accelerated by heat, storage, pressure, condensation, and microbial contamination. What it means is your engines are struggling to burn less than optimal energy source.
The TLDI(R) Series are Tohatsu's award winning outboard motors that have an established reputation for being compact in size while demonstrating highly desired features such as low emissions and high fuel economy that are demanded by the new generation of boaters. They are powered by a direct fuel injection system and a 32-bit ECU (Engine Control Unit).

Superior Marine has been servicing my 1997 Macgregor 26X since 2011. Boat advice, outboard (Mercurity50HP) winterization and spring prep, repairs, modifications, etc.
Last October, during a really bad storm they even went down to the Marina to adjust the lines because the water rose several feet in the Marina - several boats in Chicago were wrecked.
They are the local subject matter expert for Macgregor sailboats in addition to others. I can highly recommend them w/o reservation.
Update. Pulled my Macgregor 26x out of the water and stored in their boatyard until Spring 2014. Great service.
