Established in 2012 we wanted to bring a variety of Pennsylvania and California grape varietals to the area. Our owner and winemaker Rich started home wine making in 2007. He specialized in sweet wines and fruit wines. The hobby progressed winning a number of Amateur Wine Awards along the way. After expanding his wine knowledge and visiting Italy he now understands dry red wine making.

In 2012 Rich's interests turned into a desire to open B&L Wine Cellars. Keeping the family tradition going Rich is teaching his son Brandon the wine making processes. They both work together to bring excellent wines to the Cambria County area. The winery produces 20 distinct wines that you'll be sure to love.

Brandon greeted us immediately and warmly. I left feeling like I made a new friend. He has great plans to expand and I absolutely recommend attending his future events, plus his local wine should be sold nationwide. Hidden Gem!! Signed-not from here.

Great atmosphere and nice people! The wine is priced good, they make it themselves close by, and it tastes great. They even have painting sessions once a month I believe where a teacher comes in and you can drink and snack and paint a picture in groups. Definitely a cool new place for anyone 21+!

We liked the wines and liked the tasting room. The tasting room is in the “city” of Johnstown, but they did a nice job on the interior. We bought a bottle of Black Berry Wine which we had after dinner, and it was the favorite wine of our wine tour.

Wonderful little winery in Johnstown, PA. We visited the flood museum, and were pleasantly surprised to find this little winery tucked away about a mile and a half down the road. We really enjoyed the Cambria City Red, and took a bottle back with us to OH. Glad I was within walking distance to the hotel after a full tasting of the wines. The local cheeses were excellent too. The owner was friendly and very knowledgeable. Make time for a visit if you are in the area...
