Briggs Outdoors is a family-owned outdoor adventure and event venue on 560 acres of wooded bluffs, meadows, farmland, and creek bottoms. The farm was one of the first in Winona County, established in 1854 by Norwegian immigrants Halvor and Kari Myhre.
Today, the Briggs family has transformed the original farmhouse and surrounding area into a pristine event venue perfect for outdoor weddings, outdoor parties, corporate events, family reunions, and more.A large patio area and expansive lawn offer plenty of room for party tents, tables, lawn games, bonfires, and dancing under the stars.

Please be aware that some GPS and mapping services incorrectly point you to an address south of I-90, near Houston. You want 27171 County Highway 9 north of I-90. You can also search for Cedar Valley Lutheran Church; our property is adjacent. Via Hwy 61: Go south on Highway 61 to County Highway 9; there will be a green highway sign indicating County Highway 9 and a right turn lane.

Our rustic three-bedroom farmhouse includes a mix of antiques (including a working wood stove and cider press), fun knick-knacks, plenty of books and games, and modern amenities, including a fully equipped kitchen and flat-screen television. The attached deck includes patio furniture, a grill, and gorgeous views of the meadows and bluffs.

My son and his lovely bride selected Briggs as their wedding venue. She wanted outdoors and bonfires. What a great choice! They wanted something casual and non-traditional. Our host, Steve, was so accommodating. There were so many choices for where to hold the ceremony. We set up outdoor games for the guests. The pizza was so good. We could not be more pleased with our son's wedding and the venue was a big contributor to that.
