I started this company at the end of 2007. My genius idea was to start a pool cleaning business so that I could spend more time with my family. At the time, my wife Amanda and I had a 3-year-old and a newborn. Man, did I learn some lessons! As I dove into the start-up aspect of small business and learning the ins/outs of the pool industry, Amanda was doing the same at home with our little ones.
We both found ourselves dealing with more than we could handle. Then, the following year we had a son. Drumroll please.yes, a few years later we had our third girl! Four kiddos and a small business in its infancy. As you can also guess, there were many, many more lessons to be learned as business owners and as parents.

Southlake Pools is a family owned and operated business, started in 2007. We've learned so much in the 10+ years we've been operating.
Though we started out as a pool maintenance company, we've grown to include pretty much all pool related services, like: pool filter cleaning, acid washes, pool pump repair and replacement, automation repairs and upgrades, leak detection and repairs, and everything from minor pool repairs to complete pool remodels.

Has your pool algae taken over, leaving you with an uninviting green pool? We offer a full-service weekly pool maintenance solution. Our job is to ensure you maintain access to an algae-free clean pool, by cleaning your pool on a weekly basis. Have a saltwater pool? No problem. We maintain saltwater pools, as well as chlorine.
A clean pool filter is probably one of the most important factors in keeping a pool clean. As a result of a clean filter, your equipment works easier, water flows better, and your pool is happier. Pool filters usually need to be cleaned 2-4 times per year. Due to the type of filter, size of the pool and the amount of nature around, additional cleaning may be needed.
A pool heater can be set to heat the entire pool or just the spa, depending on each pool's setup. Pool heater issues, can at times be very simple repairs. If there are issues with the pump, it may not be able to pull the water correctly or efficiently and you'll need a pool repair. Fortunately, the vast majority of the internal parts of DE filters and pool cartridge filters are still made and available.

UPDATE: HAD Leslie's Pool Service techs come out and GUESS WHAT, Southlake pools lied about nearly everything. Leslie's actually turned on the system and tested everything, all that's wrong are valves and plumbing for a cost of 1150.00 NOT 4600.00 plus to replace everything so SLP can go on extended vacation with me paying. NO TRIP TO HAWAII LIKE SOUTHLAKE POOLS WANTED. Also got a self martyring email from SLP yesterday (guess I'm still on the mailing list after firing them) original posting:

Ben was quick and responsive. I appreciated him taking his time to come and explain my pool system and how best to run it. I was so pleased that I decided to give myself a couple months of awesome service. Oh and so far their customer service has been great! Anne is easy to talk to and answers questions promptly.
