I had purchased some Sonos outdoor speakers. I checked with Sonos and found this company to be recommended. I contacted them and they were great to work with in setting up an install appointment. The technicians arrived on time and immediately checked the site and asked me what I wanted. They began working and were in continuous communication with me. They were efficient, friendly, and aware of what needed to be done. I was very happy with their work and would have no problem recommending them or bringing them back for additional work

I had some exterior cameras with solar panels and a video doorbell that I "unsuccessfully" tried to get installed twice with HelloTech (which was a horrible, unreliable and unprofessional experience. I do not recommend. If mentioning this horrible company keeps my review from being posted I will take our their name. I just want people to start with Bay Area Smart Home first and actually get great service).

These guys are on point, responsive and knowledgeable, Grade A professionals, They can install your home entertainment system at ease and get you additional help if needed, if something is not right or a error, they will get out of there comfort zone to make it right, that is a good business ethic that everyone should carry, Good to see that there is still a reputable business that accommodates there clients before the money,

In November we upgraded an older entertainment system; internet service, television and Sonos, and turned to Bay Area Smart Home to do the work based on strong Yelp reviews. Alex, the owner was responsive, explained the upgrade and sold us on his system.
Alex and his tech installed the system, did a great job of training us and came out the first time to make some corrections on the Sonos system. After the upgrade our laptop wouldn't connect to our home internet. Once our computer person spoke to Alex it was a matter of Alex resetting a password which he did.

Bay Area Smart Home did a great job mounting our TV and installing two outdoor security cameras, sconces, smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and a smart lock on our front door. Alex was really responsive and easy to communicate with when providing a cost estimate (really competitive and reasonable prices!) and scheduling the install. And then the two guys who completed the install, both named DJ, were super friendly and helpful. They even helped us move our Peloton bike from the garage into the house!

Highly recommend Alex and his team. They know their stuff and go above and beyond to make sure our smart home is how we envisioned it. I hired them to set up our security, AV, thermostat and wifi infrastructure in our new house. Researching this stuff on my own was overwhelming, but Alex was able to coax me towards the right systems and help justify the investment. The end result is awesome, and it felt like they were really invested in getting it right vs treating me like just another project. Email these guys (and then call them for good measure)

I'm very happy with my experience at Bay Area Smart Home. I hired them to take down a 65" OLED from a wall mount at my rental property, transport it to my new residence, mount it, and also hook up a sonos surround sound system and sub woofer. Although it took about a month for the sonos products to arrive (Not Alex's fault, the equipment was on backorder), Alex fully accommodated me by lending me a receiver while I waited so that I could use my surround sound system in my new house. The installation team was also awesome. Casey and his counterpart were very professional, on time

We needed help to get our Google Hello video doorbell installed. Bay Area Smart Home was quick to respond and set up an appointment for the following business day. Matt who came to do the job was great! So friendly and helpful. Very inexpensive too. While this was a small project I will definitely be using them for future projects and also recommending to friends and family.

Well, gosh, the owner of this company...is a gem. I had a lot of trouble at my office with a lock, OMG. I dumped hours into problem solving with the freaking lock company. But, I called Alex and my problems disappeared. Call Alex and Bay Area Smart Home if you just CAN'T DEAL with modern conveniences. :)

Alex installed Nest security cameras in our home and did a great job. He is very pleasant to work with, deeply knowledgable about the technology, provides solid recommendations, and charges fair prices. He handles all kinds of home automation and home video/audio installation.
I decided I preferred to use either Google-owned Nest or Amazon-owned Ring cameras with cloud-based recording rather than the DVR-based systems that do local recording. The local systems, which are the usual options provided by security camera contractors, use security cameras mostly made by the same Chinese-owned company

Alex is awesome. He's knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and above all patient. It was a pleasure doing business and I'll recommended him highly to anyone wanting to bring their home into the modern era of automation.

They responded to the qoute request in a timely manner. They are very upfront with cost, and very reasonable too, they don't try to upsell, and best of all, they are accommodating! Alex and his team completed the install by adding products and making upgrades to my home. The service was excellent with a full explanation after the install.
The install was completed as promised and the pricing was good in comparison to others.

Alexander was awesome when installing the ring doorbell at my parents house. He was on time for my appointment. He helped explain the product to us and the went straight to work installing it. After the installation he helped us configure the app on our phone, explained the features, and went through testing the product to know what to expect. Thank you for all your help. I definitely would recommend him and will be using him again on future projects.

My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Alex from Bay Area Smart Home. He makes the entire process effortless, from the upfront consultation to procuring all the right products to getting them installed, integrated and working seamlessly. I've always wanted to enjoy the benefits of home automation but have always been intimidated by the process of getting the right equipment and setting it all up- Alex is the perfect solution. He also has a nice eye for aesthetics so hides wires and mounts hardware in a way that is clean and unobtrusive. He is a nice guy, very pleasant to work with

As a construction superintendent I have high expectations. Rarely are these met - but Bay Area Smart Home surpassed them when they installed home security elements at my place.
On time, under budget, safely performed, with patience to teach me the technical aspects of the phone apps (not my strong suit!). Alex made everything so simple to understand and use. I plan on using them for future projects.

We had a great experience working with Alex. He installed four outdoor security cameras for us. Our situation was more complicated than expected, and there were a lot of unusual challenges that came up due to our house situation and some special requests we made.
