I was in less pain, the night after my surgery, then I was in, the night before. My experience with Dr. Atkenson was great. He is a man who understands the needs of his patients, and treats you like a person. The surgery I went through was easier to get through, because of the way he treats you while in surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Atkenson.

Dr. Atkeson is top notch. He explained
the procedure and throughly went through the healing process. He is very hospitable and friendly, He’s not like get you in/get you out in a hurry. I had a torn meniscus and was nervous about the surgery . My end results, I did not have any pain. I recommend him highly. A+ in my book.

I work for myself so minimal downtown for a joint replacement was critical to me. After hearing details of a traditional hip replacement procedure, I decided to do some research. I found the SuperPATH method offered less downtime and quicker recovery. Then I began researching providers. I found Dr. Robert Atkenson in Palos Heights IL, which is 3 hours from where we live. After our first consultation visit, I knew he would be the one to perform my surgery. He is articulate, personable and listens to the patient. He is willing to answer any question. Cathy, who works as an administrator at Doctor Atkensons' office, recommended I see the doctor after experiencing some pain and discomfort in my knee. I went through some supartz injections that solved my pain and discomfort and I avoided having to have any type of knee surgery. Cathy and the rest of the staff were very helpful and attentive in answering all of my questions and concerns.

I recently had a right hip replacement surgery in Nov. and I must admit Dr. Atkenson is simply awesome!! I'm 44 yrs old and feel so blessed to not have a cane and not being in constant pain. The Superpath replacement technology is amazing. Thank you Dr. Atkenson and staff for honestly giving me back a piece of my life I was missing.
