Services
When you choose Shreveport Eye Clinic for your eye care, you can rest assured that you are in the best possible hands. Our experienced ophthalmologists offer a full spectrum of eye care services from comprehensive eye exams and vision prescriptions to diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye diseases.
A variety of eye conditions can cause problems ranging from pain and irritation to total blindness if left untreated. Many sight-destroying diseases occur slowly and without much warning. These include cataracts, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Fortunately, early diagnosis and prompt care from your ophthalmologist can resolve a wide range of disorders and even help you preserve your vision against incurable diseases.
Cataracts are a clouding of the lens in the eye, the structure that helps to bend light to see images clearly. Over time, the clouding becomes progressively worse, making normal vision more difficult. Individuals with cataracts may experience a slow progression of blurred vision, double vision, dull colors, light sensitivity and increased glare that impairs nighttime vision.
Macular degeneration is the most common cause of severe vision loss for people 60 years and older, so dilated eye exams may be required as you get older. Macular degeneration (also called AMD) causes damage to a small spot in the center of the eye called the macula. This is the central portion of the retina, the part of the eye that senses light.

Bad experience, will NOT go back. I brought my elderly mother to see Dr. Carol Clemons MD. Dr. Clemons has a ZERO "bedside manner" and was thoughtless and insulting in her words to my mother. Definitely not someone I want to give our hard earned money for when there are so many others to choose from.
