I am a Master Instructor, with countless awards as a National Tournament Competitor/Promoter & Life- Time Achiever. My training was a positive influence in my life.

Services
Yoga for Beginners: Great for first-timers, beginners and anyone looking to revisit the fundamentals of yoga. This relaxed friendly class allows student to familiarize themselves with foundational poses such as Downward-Facing dog and Chaturanga. Poses and key transitions are broken down in entrance, exit and proper alignment.
Reed's Karate Academy was established in 1998 by Master William Lee Reed, who has trained and competed nationally in martial arts for over 30 years. The martial arts should not be considered as a sport, luxury or a privilege. It's truly "The Way of Life" when taught with the proper concepts, which is Building Character, Family Values, Life Skills, Leadership, Confidence, Self-Discipline, Self-Defense & Fitness.
Reed's Academy wanted to create a program that we thought would be beneficial to parents and guardians to use periodically for whatever their purpose might be. Therefore we started offering Day Camps during selective Union County School Closings from 7:00 am - 6:30 pm. This program is for ages 5-12 and also Tax deductible.
Reed's Academy takes pride in building a family friendly staff to operate a family friendly environment. We are always interested in meeting potential staff members who have different professional backgrounds that we can possible add to our programs or simply enhance whatever positions we may have available.

Reeds academy has been a great place for both of my daughters pre and post covid! Master Reed and his team keep them focused on studies and round out with great play time. They are engaged, organized and always dong the right things for the community. they helped tremendously during covid in a safe environment, are still helping with our new challenges, but always with the child in the center of those decisions. I am a fan!

Our son attended summer camp at Reed's last year and could not WAIT to go back this year! Towards the end of the school year he kept asking "When is it time for Reed's??" He loves all of the activities and field trips. Master Reed and his staff are awesome. The facility is safe, secure and super-clean.

My son has been attending Reed's Academy after school and summer programs for three years now and Master Reed along with his staff have done a phenomenal job with assisting myself with teaching him the knowledge, qualities and skills he needs to hold his own in today's society. From academics to self-defense, Reed's Academy covers it all. Master Reed puts his heart into the well being of my child and nothing brings me more comfort than knowing he is safe when he's not in my arms. Reed's Academy is 2nd to no one.

Reeds Academy is such a blessing to our family. As parents who work in Charlotte, finding a safe place our kids can go until we can get to them in the afternoon is a top priority! Both our son and daughter enjoy after school and karate here, and both participated in summer camp, and they never come home saying they were bored. We are so appreciative of Master Reed's firmness, yet caring manner with our kids. We appreciate the structure that both my kids thrive on and the skills they are learning and friendships they have made. Looking forward to the new programs coming to Reeds! Highly recommend

A.K.A. Reed's Youth Academy. Master Reed is not a bully and doesn't tolerate it from his students. He tells you UPFRONT in writing what the cancellation policy is and sticks by it. He also gives out his cell# to parents in case you need to text. Master Reed is stern with the kids and expects a lot out of them. He has them memorize and recite "Reed's Ten Commandments" to instill good character and has them write down what good deeds they have done for others as part of the belt tests. The belt tests are about more than Karate, Master Reed wants to know what the kids have done for their community

We LOVE Reed's Karate Academy. Our son has been taking karate there for almost 2 years and loves it. Master Reed takes a personal interest in each child and helps to set them up for success. We have seen our son's confidence and skills soar over the past two years and are so thankful that we found Reed's.

We have been going to Reeds for a few Summers now and my kids love it. It created a disciplined structure that was simple- good old fashion fun for kids. Master Reed instills core values in kids and has a no nonsense approach. I always felt like my kids were safe- well loved and respected. My son is looking forward to next Summer already

The staff and Master Reed have had a such positive impact with my kids. He teachs core values of respect, discipline, family values and self confidence. Master Reed is firm with rules, yet extremely compassionate. I can tell he really cares about our kids and wants them to grow into a successful adults.

Master Reed has provided a structured, loving yet firm environment to my son for years. He is a positive influence in our lives and I appreciate him being a positive role model to my son.
