Originally from Brooklyn - We'd like to share with you a part of our history and a piece of our family. All of our sandwiches-- made with what we like to call the best from Sullivan Street Bakery to our my good friend Frank from Parasi for the bread, Loni's for the mozzarella, we bring in what we can from Italy none of the processed shit - and are family recipes.
The sandwiches are named after our family members, some of whom are no longer with us, some of whom pop in from time to time, and whose faces decorate the walls of the shop. Are built around the characteristics of the people who they are named after, like Uncle John, a larger-than-life guy who had everything in the world, and Grandma Lucy, who was always elegant and tasteful.

I tried the uncle jimmy and it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. It was slightly spicy with the pepper spread, a bit acidic from the balsamic, creamy from the fresh mozzarella, and salty from the combination of meats. It all went together so well. Half a sandwich was enough to fill me up for lunch though I definitely could have eaten a whole because it was so good.

Great spot for lunch on the go! The sandwiches at Regina's don't disappoint! Loved the uncle jimmy sandwich with mozzarella, arugula, 3 kinds of meat, tomatoes and balsamic. I didn't have to wait long. The ingredients were so fresh and the sandwich was filling. Saved the other half for dinner. There's an outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your meal if the weather permits - no indoor seating at the moment.

Ordering on Yelp and picking it up is definitely the way to go. You can expect to wait maybe even 30 minutes after your expected pickup time but honestly? It was worth the wait for me, at least. The sandwiches we had were some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The Uncle Jimmy is actually the best sandwich I've ever had. Fresh, salty, a little sweet and tangy from the balsamic--everything about it was perfect. Definitely recommend the cannolis, too! It's going to be a must stop for me every time I come into the city, for sure.

I really want to like this place as the sandwiches are delicious, but every time I go I regret it.
Every single time of the 5+ times I've ordered ahead to pick up I've had to wait 15+ mins minimum. Even if you order an hour ahead you can expect to wait. Half the time they don't seem to check the online orders coming in so you might as well just order in person to be honest. Lastly the staff are not even in the slightest apologetic or understanding of the situation.
It's basically like dealing with the DMV to get a friggin sandwich. Here's to hoping they work to improve

Always get the Uncle John. Great quality sandwich. Sometimes tough to get anyone to help you, even when you're waving cash trying to pay and there's no other customers there. I hope the last time I caught the guy making sandwiches in back wearing the same gloves to handle food as he did to handle cash was just a one-off... but it's enough to make me think twice about going there next time.

I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at Regina's was so exceptional that I felt compelled to leave a good review. The staff was so kind and I got my food so quickly! I would 100% recommend ordering the Ricky, it's my favorite sandwich in the lower east side. I even got to meet Regina herself. She was so warm and inviting, I felt like I was apart of the family. I will 100% be coming back. I think this will be my new go-to sandwich spot.

These sandwiches hit. the. spot. Loved the Uncle John, basically a classic Italian hoagie but with mortadella....yum....you don't see that as often. Also tried the Uncle Jimmy which was actually quiteeee spicy but in a great way and the balsamic glaze made it doable and delightful. Also loving the different bread on each. This is a try the whole menu at some point type of jawn for sure. Will be back.

Super quaint Italian sandwich stop on Orchard Street downtown. Have heard about their famous rice balls and their gnocchi for a while now so I was glad my friend suggested we go. Unfortunately they were out of the rice balls when we got there. I had a veggie sandwich with mozzarella, tomato, artichokes & balsamic vinegar and it was delish & fresh. Love this mom & pop shop. Been ordering delivery because of social distancing measures here in New York... had a hankering for Italian sandwiches and Regina's has risen to meet that hunger. Tried the uncle Phil last week and just tried the cousin Cristina. Excellent sandwiches. Fresh ingredients. Speedy delivery with seamless.

This cozy little Italian grocery and sandwich shop's decor suggests it's been around much longer than its 3 years of existence. Maybe it's the black and white floral tile floor or that the owner takes orders and yells them back at his ma, who makes all the sandwiches. It's a very New York place with very New York flavors.
Take the Uncle Rocco, which is a classic tuna sandwich you'd find at any classic Italian deli only made even better with their own pepper paste, fresh mozzarella, broccoli rabe, arugula, balsamic, and extra virgin olive oil on a classic hero. The bread

Regina's grocery had been on my hit list for years. I finally made the trip over a couple nights ago to grab sandwiches for a train ride upstate. The service was amazing, and the sandwiches were being wrapped up at the exact time I came in minutes before they closed at 6 PM.
We opted for the Uncle chubby, Uncle Jimmy, and Cousin Cristina. We all sampled each other sandwiches and they were all delicious, but I'd have to say the clear winner would be the uncle Jimmy. We also got it on the semolina roll which made the sandwich about twice the size. I think the key at Regina's grocery

I had a meatball parm hero, a special of the day, and sat at a small table in what you would consider a typical NYC shop from the 1940's, with black and white ceramic tile floors and a pressed tin ceiling.
I was bathed in the soft reggae music and enjoyed my free chocolate cake dessert when I checked in on Yelp ( surprisingly good pre-packaged and imported from Italy). The quaint air-conditioned setting and the attentive friendly service is just what I needed on a hot summer day.

Ordered our Sammies in line so we could pick-up after they opened. Good call, as they were waiting when we arrived 3 mins after opening.
Bread was wonderful: crunchy exterior, soft interior. Meats and cheeses were very good, and their chili spread is a must!
Friendly and efficient service was appreciated, too.
Cheers!
