Right on Frankfort Avenue in the historic Crescent Hill neighborhood, Modern Family Dentistry is committed to delivering state-of-the art dental care with personalized attention. 3210 Frankfort Avenue has been a dental office for many years. It began its transformation to Modern Family Dentistry in May of 2010 when Dr. Andrei Moldoveanu purchased the practice and began a series of renovations to update the facility.

We strive to maximize the one-on-one time with each patient and to completely answer any questions they have about their treatment.
A comprehensive dental exam and cleaning are recommended twice-yearly for children and adults. During your initial dental examination at Modern Family Dentistry, our staff will take any necessary X-rays to ensure the health of your gums, teeth, and jaw. X-rays will not be required at every visit. During a twice-yearly check-up, patients receive a thorough examination of their teeth, gums, tongue, jaw, and neck.
Regular care for children is extremely important for setting a foundation for a lifetime of good oral hygiene and a healthy smile. At Modern Family Dentistry, we provide dental care for the entire family, including infants, children and adolescents. Dr. Andrei Moldoveanu is experienced in providing dental care for infants and children and strives to make these special patients feel comfortable during their examinations and treatments.

Great dentist with awesome personality! Dental assistant is very caring and informative too! During my visits I am treated respectfully and not judged at all. Modern Family Dentistry is the best dental practice I have encountered in my life! My kids love to go to the dentist because of this practice. Dr Andrei goes far beyond the standard dentist. He has a calm and kind demeanor that puts his patients at ease. He is quick to help in times of emergency, which my family has had several times. Dr Andrei is so amazing that my parents switched to his office after hearing me talk so highly of him. I don’t think I have ever completed a Google review before but I have always been impressed with Modern Family Dentistry (looking at you Dr. Andrei). The client care is the best I have ever had from a dentist. Dr. Andrei is very professional with a great “chair-side” manner. He is not pushy or demeaning and I never feel like he is looking for cavities to fund his next vacation. They schedule everyone perfectly so there is no wait. I heard he also has walk up times available.

Dr Andrei Moldoveanu is by far the BEST dentist I have had. Shelly and him work hard to make you feel comfortable in the office. He is very patient. Other dentist always made me feel like my situation with my teeth was a lost cause, and made me feel really bad about myself. Dr Andrei just does the work, makes it seem so simple. I am very happy that I have found him as my dentist. You will not regret establishing yourself with his office.

I never thought I would say this, but I had an amazing time at the dentist's office. Getting your teeth poked at is no where near the top of my list for things I want to experience on my day off, but the staff was so friendly and conversational, that I almost forgot that I was going through a dental exam.

You cannot do better than Dr Andrei. I am the kind of person who is really nervous about going to the dentist but Dr Andrei and staff will put you right at ease. They are caring and pleasant, this is not one of those places where you are processed through like a number and where you feel like their trying to see how much they can get out of you.

So I chipped a tooth while 6 months pregnant. Th pain was driving me nuts. I called my regular dentist and they were closed. So the search was on. This Place was right down the street from my office and the reviews were great so I gave it a shot. They got me in that afternoon. Dr.Andrei and his assistant made me feel so comfortable. This is not a fancy pants dentist. This is like going to a friends house who happens to be an excellent dentist. They make you feel comfortable. They are quick and do an excellent job. This may now be my "regular dentist" if you have an issue and need help

I've been to several dentists before, but this has been my best experience for a cleaning. They were very friendly, very thorough, and went above and beyond to give me advice. They are also affordable since I don't have dental insurance. My teeth have never been so clean! I travel the US for a living and this is definitely one of the best dentists in the US. Go here!

Very very compassionate people! Dr. Andrie had a great bedside manner and is a great healer. I went in to fill a cavity and suffering from a lot of anxiety from previous dental trauma and he and his tech just sat and talked with me for the duration of the appointment. When I went back two weeks later, the anxiety was gone. It was a real gift to have my tooth and my emotions so well cared for. This is a real gift on Frankfort Ave.

I can't speak highly enough about my experience. I had not been to the dentist in a long long time and was super apprehensive. I was equally afraid of being shamed and probably needing 15 fillings. These folks were just plain awesome. They were proud of me for recommitting to my dental health and had no negativity towards me. There was no judgement, no lectures, just a plan on how to get back on track. This is probably the friendliest and most qualified dentist I've ever been too, and I was thrilled to find I only have one small cavity. Needless to say, I will be back in 6 months. :)

Great reviews here on Yelp guided me to Dr. Andrei but their great service and skills will keep me here for all my family's and my dental needs. I had a filling come out and called Modern Family Dentistry for urgent help. They saw me the very next day and did a fabulous job refilling that very awkward back molar. Anyone who mentions that they need dental work done to me are immediately referred to modern family dentistry. The staff is friendly, down to earth, and went above and beyond to make something a simple as my cleaning be the best experience for me. Referred to this office by a periodontist after moving here from Florida. Both my husband and I have visited the office and we have not one complaint. Dr. Andrei and Shelly run this office effectively and efficiently. They are nice people who care about your dental well-being. The appointments are planned with enough time to accommodate each patient and you're always greeted with a smile.

I've done my dental tour around the Louisville area over the past twenty years, but I've never quite received the experience that I consistently enjoy from Dr. Andrei Moldoveanu at Modern Family Dentistry. Dr. Moldoveanu and his staff are not only pleasant, but down right fun to be around. Their scheduling is always accommodating, and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes before being shuttled into the hot seat. I highly recommend this practice, and I promise you that Modern Family Dentistry won't / can't disappoint.
