Duggan Diving is San Antonio's source for professional scuba diving gear repairs at affordable prices. Our skilled and experienced staff is qualified to handle any job you bring us. Whether you are just thinking about getting a scuba certification or are already an avid diver, we cover all areas of scuba diving certifications. These include kids programs, advanced recreational, a wide range of specialties, and professional and technical courses (including rebreathers). We offer PADI, NAUI, SSI, SDI, and TDI certifications.
You can use your G.I. Bill to pay for many of our scuba courses. We offer a wide selection of programs from which you can choose. Are you interested in learning to dive, improve your diving skills, and becoming a dive professional? The G.I. Bill can help you accomplish this. Through this series of programs, you will learn the basics of diving and progress up this guided path to become a professional diver.
Whether you are new to scuba and want to experience the thrill of diving under the supervision of one of our dive professionals or you are certified and wish to update your skills and knowledge with a one or two day refresher course, Duggan Diving will work with you to set up a course that will meet your busy schedule.
One week of diving the abundant sea life of the Southern Red Sea including snorkeling with schools of dolphins. Includes: All meals, snacks, tanks and air fills, weights, non-alcoholic beverages, and local wine and beer. Not included: Round trip airfare, optional tour and in-country airfare, $25 visa upon entry, nitrox, and gratuities.

Professionalism and patience. My 11 year old son and I signed up for scuba lessons. The kid and I have the situational awareness of Helen Keller. Rich, our diving instructor, was always professional and patient. Made our scuba lessons stress-free and enjoyable. Never rushed us and taught at a level commensurate with our understanding. The rest of the staff bent over backwards for us as well; from wetsuit and equipment fittings to test scheduling...top shelf. All this despite the pandemic monkey and me and my son's ADHD. Highly recommend them.

Great place to get your gear serviced and inspected when bringing it out of storage for the dive season. Also they have great rental prices. I was able to rent gear (full drive kit and tanks) for a fathers day weekend dive trip and the price for the entire 3 day weekend was what it would of been for one day at the other shops around town. They are very knowledgeable and veteran run so that's already good to go. I will 100% be back here to fill tanks before every trip and to get gear checked. Was very disappointed... I was looking for a good instructors cares about safety and dives. I asked to see the there certifications there expiration on there Certification I wanted to feel safe. I asked them how many students wash out after they give you 800$, no comment we have to ask you to leave now

Our diving home shop!!! An amazing shop with very experienced, caring, and professional instructors. They are quick to educate, answer questions, and help with merchandise. Shop carries an awesome mix of current gear and merchandise. They also have great cylinder service of several types of air for any dive. Went to this dive shop today and had a lot of fun. These guys carry tons of gear from a large array of brands so you can find anything you want. They have a huge selection of technical dive kits and parts in the store, so it's enjoyable to check out all of the hardware while chatting with other divers.
Everyone I spoke with was very professional and helpful. This store has a very large community of people behind it that are serious divers that you probably won't find at other outfits.

I have experience with dive shops around the world. This place is top notch. The staff has experience in everything from basic Open Water classes to the highest level of Technical Diver Training. They have built a family of divers as one community. I’ve also traveled with them to the other side of the world and was very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. Highly recommended!

Went to Duggan diving twice today looking for a new BC, two dive computers, two new regulators, my wife some new flippers, my wife a new mask, and a new wet suit but they were closed. All the lights are on and the store hours on the door says they are open including there website. Wasted 3hrs of my day coming here at 1pm and then again at 3pm. But they can afford to lose a $2,000 sale I guess.

I visited a few shops in San Antonio and Duggan Diving was the most welcoming. I felt the staff and dive shop family was the most appealing. So many people would just stop by to socialize with the staff (talking more than just dive stuff) and you could tell this felt like home. Got certified through Duggan Diving several years ago in their old location but now they have a new location and their shop is amazing lots of space friendly people their dive masters very friendly and knowledgeable. The staff is very helpful in answering any questions that you may have. One of their staff members Tom set us up with a great dive shop in Cancun, my wife is into photography and we met with Ken who offered his time to teach my wife how to take better photos underwater. There are many aspects that make a business great. One of the most critical ones is compassion for the sport, and this place has just that. The store is called Duggan Diving , John Duggan the owner has compassion for diving which he shares with everyone who walk in the store. If you are lucky enough to have him during your training you will be a happy camper.
I've traveled to nearly 30 countries and met many divers but none of them come close to the Dive Yoda John Duggan.
This year we plan on diving the Red Sea , Panama City and a few Caribbean

Disorganized and unprofessional. The only person that ever gave us a straight answer was who I think is the owner. The girl behind the desk was lacking customer service skills and our instructor was disorganized and didn't seem adequately knowledgeable to be teaching a sport with so many safety hazards. They must not communicate with each other at all. I got a different answer to the same question every time. If you appreciate disorganized, unreliable and unprofessional businesses, then this is the place for you. I have yet to have a smooth or seamless experience with these people and my courses have been incorrectly scheduled on their part on more than one occasion, which results in me sitting in their empty parking lot trying to get in touch with someone. Duggan Diving is head and shoulders above the other dive shops in the San Antonio area. Owner/Instructor John Duggan ensures that scuba certification training is accomplished the right way every time without cutting corners. All of his instructors are top-notch in every regard. The new location of Duggan Diving on Pat Booker Road is four to five times larger than his previous shop. The new layout has more than ample room for tank refills, classroom instruction, technical support, and a large product showroom. When I wanted to get my basic certification in 2010 I shopped around. Duggan Diving is the place to go. Other dive shops wanted new students to buy all of your gear up front or pay for rental fees in addition to the course price.
At Duggan Diving, they recommended that new students wait to buy gear until after you complete your course. The only thing you need up front is masks, fins, and boots. Their course fee included use of their rental gear so there were no hidden fees! They wanted their students try different equipment and get comfortable with the gear before buying it. My oldest son and I have nothing but high praise for Duggan Diving. No secret charges, no additional costs for equipment - in my opinion, the only San Antonio dive shop with reasonable prices. Our instructor, Keith C., was fantastic to work with as well - providing what can only be described as one-on-one instruction. Already investigating dive trips with these folks and when my two younger sons are ready to try diving, we will be returning to Duggan!
