Powell Power Equipment, Inc. is a family operated business located in the Powell community at 7145 Clinton Highway. Our doors opened in the Spring of 1979. Over the ensuing forty-two years we have endeavored to meet the home-owner and commercial landscaper's needs for exceptional quality power equipment.

We offer America's number one selling mower, eXmark, and hand held power tools, STIHL. Battery powered tools are a recent and promising trend. We seek to constantly improve service to our customers by employment of well-trained technicians and the latest and best technological analysis systems. Our vast parts inventory benefits even those who have purchased equipment other than brands we sell!

Powell Power Equipment Inc. founder and president Bill Shupe founded his business on customer service when he opened his doors way back in 1978. It's a concept he has never veered from. Forty years later, familiar faces are still coming back to the popular Clinton Highway business for their outdoor power equipment needs.
We have three full time, factory trained technicians with over sixty years combined mechanical experience. We have expert grinding services for rotary mower blades, chainsaws, and a variety of other garden and yard tools. Powell Power Equipment, Inc. has been in business since 1979 under the same ownership and we look forward to serving you.
We have over 18,000 different part numbers in our inventory. We stock parts to fit the equipment listed on our products page plus parts for many other brands. They are Very knowledgeable here. Ready to assist in any parts you need and explain the issues that causes the bad parts failure. Also able and willing to put you in a new mower! Staff is always friendly. Usually have what I need if not will order it.but they never keep Muffler bearings, and wobble shafts in stock.

Always overbooked service department, and prices are high. The only reason they're still in business is because there is no other dealer close to this location. No one likes this place! * Edit: Comment below is proof of depleted customer service focus, and an 8 year response time is further representation of their priorities. They used to have a bit of class in the old days, not so much anymore.

Took 8 years to respond to my review. Poor just like their customer service. They give the same generic reply to everyone who leaves a bad review. "We strive extremely hard to make everyone a happy, satisfied customer!! However, not everyone has a happy heart...

I love this place Misty Stephen always there when you need them you might have to wait a little time on some parts that's ordered the best usually expected but overall best friendly people you can have taken care of your mowing equipment

Lowe's warranty sent our riding lawn mower to this service. Pickup person informative and very helpful. Asked about a tuneup, he said $80 including blade sharpening. Also said should take 10 days.
Called at 10 days for status. They hadn't even looked at it.
This low review is caused by the owner. Caustic, argumentative and generally terrible customer service. Basically called me a lier as I asked about the tune up. He said plus parts (not what pickup said). And told me I was not telling the truth and proceeded to causticly lecture me about tuneup processes.
Just told them to return the unit

These folks have been in the business for decades. They have been helpful for years with getting all the parts that I need and with advice on how to fix something. It is a very important business in this community and they seem to be very honest. Parts are not cheap but it is a lot cheaper than buying new mowing equipment and they have or can get all the odd parts you need. I've never needed to have anything repaired there but I recommend them completely.

We just got our mower back after having some servicing and safety controlls put back on it. Couldn't be happier. These guys went above and beyond to make sure it was right and back to specs. Very knowledgeable and do things right. Big time Thank You from Access Auto Sales!!
