I have been a client of Dr. Gilchrist since I moved to Eugene over two years ago. This is the way all health care should be, but unfortunately is not. In Dr. Gilchrist I feel I have a true primary care doctor. The care is focused on being proactive and preventative and then secondarily reactive and curative. The communication spectrum is shifted away from a Dr ordering tests and then prescribing a course of action towards engaged interaction with questions that lead to unique approaches tailored to the unique person. I found Dr. Gilchrist after becoming disillusioned with the massive consolidation and resulting factory-style approach of the traditional healthcare system.
I very much appreciate his willingness to engage directly and in a more personal fashion than I've seen elsewhere. I also feel more comfortable knowing that I don't have to rely on the whims of a corrupted health insurance industry to pay for basic care.

Doctor Andrew Gilchrist has been my primary care provider for about a year now, and I have never been more satisfied. Dr. Gilchrist has a profoundly sane approach to patient care including empathy, humor and access. I am able to reach my doctor any time, and receive a response almost immediately. He is available via text always and is also quite easy to schedule with. I have never (never!) had to wait to see him. I am a relatively new patient of Dr Gilchrist. I'm in my 50's and in what I assumed was good health, until my cholesterol numbers were high and the doctor I was assigned to in a group practice wanted me to begin taking statins.
