I would like to tell you about the professional education, training and experience that have prepared me to be able to understand and help you with the problems that bring you to my site. In 1979 I received my M.S.W. from the Temple University School of Social Work.

In 1982 I completed a post-Master's Institute in Advanced Clinical Practice given by the Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work and in 1985 I completed a three-year clinical training program in couples and family therapy given at the Family Institute of Philadelphia.
Life can be a challenging and painful process, at times leaving us feeling confused, disappointed and lost. We try the same things over and over, but nothing seems to change. It can feel overwhelming to try to solve these problems, manage this stress, deal with this pain and find a way to make sense of our lives and feel better.
There are bumpy times in all relationships when conflict, dissatisfaction or disappointment may seem overwhelming. We may try the same things over and over, but nothing seems to change. Perhaps you and your partner find yourselves. Couples that I have worked with have said that therapy has had a huge impact on their lives.
Are you experiencing conflict, disappointment or estrangement from your family-of-origin?. Do you find yourself repeating destructive patterns and feeling confused by your own behavior?. Are you ready to resolve old problems, let go of resentment and improve current relationships with parents, grandparents and siblings?.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It was discovered by Francine Shapiro, Ph. D in 1987. It is a tool I integrate into psychotherapy to help alleviate long-lasting effects of trauma by allowing the mind's natural healing to occur as it reprocesses traumatic memories through the bi-lateral stimulation of the brain.
