Sarah Martine Belfi of Martine, Katz Scanlon & Schimmel was instrumental in leveling the playing field against my ex wife, who is also a divorce (family law) attorney and knew very well how to manipulate the system. I was in an extremely unfair family law situation in Monmouth County New Jersey. Sarah and her firm helped me first take an unfair decision to the Appellate Court of NJ and obtain a partial remand. I was recently represented by both Sarah Martine and Shira Katz Scanlon in a very long and frustrating divorce accompanied with a restraining order. Both women were dedicated, professional, compassionate, and triumphant. The entire ordeal was 21 months, and Shira and Sarah were there every step of the way. They responded quickly to my concerns and issues, which were constant and many. I am not sure had I retained alternate representation that my outcome would have been so successfully in my favor. In fact, I did retain previous council on the restraining order matter, and it did not go in my favor

I was about a year into my divorce with counsel that left me high and dry in several scenarios. I was very upset about it and desperate to find a lawyer who could help end the nonsense and get the divorce over with. Shira Katz-Scanlon is amazing. She is both empathetic and tough in the courtroom. I had a complicated situation - long story. After 2 failed attempts by other attorneys, she finally got me divorced, got me full custody of my children and my house back, plus I don't have to pay alimony. In short, she gave me my life back. I highly recommend her!
