Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture
Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides acupuncture treatments for a variety of health conditions. Our mission is to provide effective and affordable acupuncture for our community. By offering treatments on a $20-$40 sliding scale (plus $10 for the first visit), we hope to make natural and alternative medicine more accessible.

You pay what you can - no questions asked. Community acupuncture is a growing movement with the goal of creating social change in healthcare. This movement is led by the People's Organization of Community Acupuncture (POCA), a co-op made up of acupuncturists, patients, and volunteers. Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture is a proud clinic member of POCA.
Services
Our mission at Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture is to provide effective and affordable acupuncture treatments for our community. When it comes to health and well-being, we want to put all our energy and focus on you getting better rather than on how you pay for it. At other clinics, acupuncture treatments can run up to $180 each, health insurance does not always cover it, and not everyone has health insurance.
I am so happy to have found Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture. Evan and Cheryl are incredibly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated to their healing practice. I have benefited on so many levels since i have regularly been coming to acupuncture. I was surprised to learn of this affordable resource in Ann Arbor- and delighted with the positive impact of the treatmetns.
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. The cost of herbs, supplements, or other merchandise is not included in the cost of the visit. We do not accept insurance, however, the cost of our treatments is about the same as a normal insurance co-pay.
First, you will meet privately with the acupuncturist for a brief consultation (about 5-10 minutes). Next, you will go into our community room, sit in a recliner, and the acupuncturist will insert needles in specific points depending on what you are coming in for. You are then free to relax and take a nap for as long as you like, usually about 45-60 minutes.

I've been coming weekly for a bit more than year. The office is so relaxing and the practitioners are kind people. They've helped me with some long time issues and I'm amazed with the results. So grateful that this is an affordable option. Definitely try it out if you're on the fence! Thanks AACA!

This place is a non-profit and a co-op that belongs to POCA, the national organization for community acupuncture. They expanded their space greatly so there is lots of social distancing possible, Evan is an amazingly efficient and caring practitioner, I’ve been going for years and still think that pure quality wise it’s better than any individual practitioner. These people could open up clinics and earn tons of money treating people in private rooms but choose to make this treatment accessible and there’s a sliding fee. They also have and sell chinese medicine but I’ve never had it pushed

Comfortable and affordable enough to go regularly, staff that wants to help you feel better. Not gimmicky, straight to the point.

This business deserves the maximum amount of stars and praise that is possible. The quality of service, atmosphere created, and personality of staff are all phenomenal. The wife and husband team that operate this practice are wholesome, good humans. You can sense that they are genuine, love what they do and are deeply committed to helping people and serving their clients in ways that will enhance each and everyone's wellbeing. They listen to your needs and goals, and treat as indicated. They really are the best.
I travel from Farmington Hills to Ann Arbor for my acupuncture and will not go anywhere

The staff and experience at Ann Arbor community Acupuncture are excellent!
I was a first time patient and felt like I was in great hands from start to finish. I appreciated the clinician Evan walking me through the process and having an open ear to my concerns.
Shout out to Ray, holding down the front desk like an all star.
If you’ve ever been curious about if and how acupuncture could help you on the road to wellness, check out these guys out. They make scheduling easy online or by phone and payments are on a sliding scale based on what you can afford.
Thanks again for the great experience

First time experiencing accupunture, my 36 yr old daughter was in pain due to syatic nerve, she couldn't even walk. By evening she had improved so much and by the next day wow. We will use this method again. Very relaxing quiet atmosphere, clean, affordable, great people. Evan is amazing. Non profit. Check it out, you will be glad you did.

I've had community acupuncture in a handful of states and this is my favorite place so far. Evan and Cheryl are attentive, kind experts, their space is clean, peaceful, and comfortable, and their sliding fees make acupuncture affordable. I'd recommend A2 community acupuncture to just about anyone -- longtime acupuncture aficionado, first-timer, whatever. Just go! You'll be glad you went.

They have changed my life with their effective treatment to greatly improve my severe migraines. Better than any traditional medicine treatments including Botox and nerve block injections. They have extensive knowledge about many different pain areas. I have referred others to them who have thanked me so much for it. They are better than any other acupuncturists that I have seen. They are compassionate, give a lot of themselves, and have a wonderful, comfortable environment to give the acupuncture.

I am 71 years old and live out of state, but after my first acupuncture visit at the Community Acupuncture Clinic I felt a sense of calm and well-being. This was unfamiliar to me, since I have ADHD with a high anxiety level. . I also lost my intense craving for sweets.
However, when I returned home I eventually needed more treatments. Since I am on a fixed income, I was shocked at the high cost. But I felt I needed it, and my renewed health would enable me to earn more. However locally here I felt worse afterward. I had a second treatment, because I believed in acupuncture from my Ann Arbor experience

Cheryl and Evan are the best. I was recommended here by a colleague of mine after I injured my back. My physical therapist was helping me walk again, but the acupuncture took my pain away. I don't see my physical therapist any more, but I consistently see Cheryl and Evan. They both show care, compassion, positive energy and expertise. I look forward to every appointment because I know I will have a good experience and walk away feeling better. Their space is clean, relaxing, inviting, calming. I highly recommend Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture!

I have a lot of inflammation due to an autoimmune disease. Some days I could barely function. I finally decided to give acupuncture a try and I couldn't be happier. I feel like I have my life back. My inflammation is down to barely nothing, pain is basically gone and I have energy again. Cheryl and Evan are so attentive to each person's individual needs. True Angels. Love the community feel also. My new favorite place!! Thank you Ann Arbor Community Acupuncture!

Wonderful. They always spend more time talking to me than I expect, far more than the pricey acupuncturists in town. I also like the communal setting. More powerful.

Just got home from my treatment and want to thank Cheryl. I was aching and stiff. Especially in my shoulder area. Pain was gone after this treatment. I agree, Cheryl and Evan really listen to you and your symptoms. So glad to have found them. Highly recommend them and this alternative treatment.
