How does a guy from Newton get into the junk removal business? By accident! Here's the story: My family and I have owned and operated Sudbury Rug for over 30 years in Sudbury, MA. We specialize in Oriental and area rugs, wall to wall carpets, and rug cleaning. During the spring of 2010's flooding, we started getting phone calls from frantic customers wanting us to remove tons and tons of wet carpet.

I was pleasantly surprised to see them sweep the floors of the entire house once all junk was removed. I am very disappointed with the experience I had with Ken (owner). I am a newbie in search for a junk removal company, upon my research it showed so many good reviews so decided to give them a try, keep in mind I had also got Quotes from other junk removal companys. Made a call, Ken had me booked the next day to get a quote and give me an estimate for Attic insulation removal. My appointment was at 2:00 p.m but they didn't arrive till 3:30. Junk Removal was able to accommodate a last min time adjustment. They were courteous, responsive, and fast over e-mail and yelp messaging. I was in a hurry to arrange junk removal, so I appreciated them willing to come to the job site without doing an estimate in advance. My job wasn't where I lived, so a preliminary estimate would have required an additional 1.5 hr drive. I was extra impressed that the guys swept the garage/basement after they were done.

They came all the way to Portsmouth, RI from Randolph, MA. I have used Junk Removal Inc 2 times before in my own home, and asked if they would come to RI to remove junk from my mother's home, as she was downsizing to senior living community. This company is excellent! They are incredibly responsive and professional, and the guys who show up go above and beyond what you have asked for. They are the only team we use and we have used their services multiple times. Pricing is reasonable and service is terrific. We recently asked them to help with a large (heavy) order from Home Depot that we needed right away to meet a contractor's deadline and they combined our trip with another to meet our timing. Just what we needed!

Let's pause for a minute and remember that a business with across-the-board five-star reviews is the unicorn of social ratings, especially on Yelp with its population of grouches and curmudgeons. Yet, here we are. Ken is knowledgeable and honest, and his crew are careful, respectful of your home, and polite. They can simply haul stuff away or work with you on a plan to declutter your space. Extremely pleased I found a local business to do our junk haul-away. Placed an inquiry on their website and Ken responded within 10-20 minutes. The gentlemen showed up early, were professional and extremely efficient. The price I was quoted was exactly accurate upon service completion. If you're moving, don't bother calling anyone else. Last minute? No problem. On time? You bet, got there early even. Busted their butt, on the hottest day of the year (94 degrees folks). Handled our stuff with professionalism and respect. Even dealt with multiple stops to drop our stuff off at another storage location. Didn't charge us anything extra for living on the 3rd floor. Fast - all said and done it took 5 hours door to door, and we were able to actually start unpacking and enjoy the rest of the day. Final total actually came up less than the estimate. Highly recommended,

These guys are fantastic. They were prompt, professional, neat and business-like. I had a basement that both had pre-existing junk in it and had a pile of junk from a renovation I had done. They came in and cleaned it all up very nicely. They even swept afterwards. The three gentlemen who came were both professional and purveyors of a great, positive spirit, which was the exact opposite of what I expected. I mean, c'mon, we're talking about nasty junk removal, here. I was in the other room, and they were laughing and having a good ol' time of it. It really put me at ease.
