Amelia Manor Nursing Home
Amelia Manor Nursing Home is family owned and operated since 1974. We are one of the only nursing homes in Lafayette with consistent management and ownership since construction. Important decisions are made locally and are not submitted to a corporation not involved with the residents or staff on a daily basis.

In our 40-year history, only two people have served as administrators. A low turnover of administrative staff is important to the overall success of our facility and reputation in the community. A high priority is placed on meeting the resident's physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Services
Amelia Manor Nursing Home is fully committed to Equal Employment Opportunity and to attracting, retaining, developing and promoting the most qualified employees without regard to their race, gender, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, citizenship status, veteran status, or any other characteristic prohibited by state or local law.
Amelia Manor partners with Therapy Center to deliver the highest quality rehabilitation services to our patients. Therapy Center's focus is always to deliver the care that is best for the patient. Our quality therapy services and team of highly skilled, full-time therapists allows us to deliver personalized care to every patient we treat.
New residents are encouraged to maintain the same level of independence they did at home. With the right tools in place, the adjustment to the nursing home can be fun. You know your loved one better than anyone else. The items you choose will help staff members work with the resident better and will help the resident feel more at home.
If paying privately you will still be responsible for any co-pays on medications, hospital stays, and doctor visits. You can bring a comforter from home and pictures to decorate the room. Furniture from home can only be brought if it can fit on the resident*s side and does not cause any type of falling hazard.

Report
It is NOT a productive environment for floor nurses. They are severely understaffed with CNA’s even agency refuses to show up. The ADON let’s MDS tell her what to do and Jennifer has run off plenty of nurses and CNA’s. The unit manager thought it was productive to leave a fall risk patient in the room by himself and shut the door. If you value your license… work elsewhere.
