There are a lot of reasons that I don't care for this salon but some things that everyone should know before they go here.
The $9.99 membership is only for 6 minutes. But they don't disclose that beforehand.
A one month tan is $79 dollars. So even tho they say you can cancel at anytime with the memberships...you cannot. If you only want to do a month and then cancel you are required to pay $79. Kinda absurd.
Cancelling is required in person/email. I tried canceling via in person after my first month and they did not cancel me. I was charged for four months after

I would give 5 stars if half of the girls in the front weren't on their phones with their feet kicked up on the desk and actually greeted you with a smile. The girl working this morning (5/7/21) should teach the other girls about greeting the guests because she was so nice and was smiling and said hi to me and wasn't on her phone. Other than that, the salon is always clean, the price is amazing, and the selection of lotions is on point! My favorite place to go!

During these COVID-19 times it seems to me to have the staff paying more attention to the back of the house than chatting it up at the front desk. The restroom was dirty and when I leave the booth it would make me feel better to have one of the team members there to clean the stall and floor immediately.

I have always been treated very kindly by staff so no complaints there! I was happy when tanning was $9.99 a month. How ever prices have gone up and I switched to the $19.99 a month tanning. This only allows me to tan for less time and I don’t feel like I am getting a quality tan. It is also very frustrating that you can’t call and speak to someone to verify holiday hours, ask general questions and now cancel my membership. I did send an email 8-31 requesting to cancel yet sadly today my card was charged. Now I will be driving out of my way tomorrow to visit the salon since apparently my email

I have had a really good experience here. I love the stand up beds and I am always greeted by a sweet young gal. They are always more than helpful and I have never had a billing issue. I usually tan a couple months on and a couple months off. I have never had an issue stopping my payment and then starting back up. They were very sweet to my girls who went there for there first spray tan and took the time to explain it very well. I do wish you could get a little discount if you bring in a daughter for a here and there spray tan and you pay for the top tan package monthly. I am on a break right now

I just got the $39 pass. Was so excited because the price is AMAZING. Totally regretting it. I have managed 2 tanning salons in Utah, so i have enough knowledge to know that NONE of these girls are trained, and am 100% wondering if they even have their tanning certificates. They do not tell you that you need to wear goggles in the beds - which will literally destroy your eyes. They do not tell you that you need lotion to help prevent against skin damage. Also went into the spray booth today... it has not been cleaned in months. I took pictures of the spray nozzles and the spray is CAKED on to it

Customer Service are ridiculous..Girls at the front desk are conceded. They always talking to each others or checking their phones.
Owner are rude too. Never say hi. Not friendly at all. Feel really unwelcome! They closed on all holidays. They have change their open hours to 9am now. Can't go before work anymore. Tanning booth are always dirty, hair and dust are everywhere! Gross me out. Canceling my membership!

I'm here for the summer and have been dying without my twice weakly spray tans back at home. I found that they offered a $5 first time spray tan and were the closest salon to offer versa (instead of the awful mystic) so I decided to try it.
The staff was very friendly and helpful as they walked me through the colors the offer. Back at home I usually do 2 passes of the Versa with a bronze 4 and bronze 2. The girl explained to me that they don't have that kind of solution and recommended the Venetian formula for $5 more.

$10 venation tan in fifteen minutes. My first tan booth and I choose Tan Max. Must admit warm place to enter as staff Ashley was professional with a great attitude. Clean booth and once staff reviews the tan procedure. It is completely easy.

I went here for a pre vacation spray tan. I was hoping to find a tanning place that would become my regular spot, but this spot is definitely not it!!! WORST SPRAY TAN EVER!
I will say the girl was very nice who helped me. Told me which tan she recommended (the more expensive one), gave me directions, etc.
I followed her directions, didn't work out, didn't shower until the next day (over 16 hours later). It doesn't even look like I got a spray tan. I have two areas that look tan, looks ridiculous. I have had several spray tans before and this is by far the WORST! What a disappointment

I just want to say I love tanmax. It's affordable and almost all of the girls are so sweet, especially Alyssa, Sarah and Brittani.I love them and they always make sure their customers leave happy. Lexi, on the other hand is extremely rude every time I go in there and has a very fake personality which she's made clear. I thought I'd give her a few chances but after today, I won't be going back there while she is working. She's rude & not personable. Working at a place like this, it's important to have a good personality :-) although i want to give this a 1 star

I saw reveiw posted by lady named Susie Atnip and had to comment.... Ive been going to Tanmax for years and you could not ask for a better salon... Great tanning units, great friendly staff, and amazing prices. Ive been in the salon a few times when that lady comes in. She always seems angry and seems to always find something to yell at the staff no matter what. The young girls that work there are always friendly and accommodating with her but she still is always upset, just not a happy person.

What a breath of fresh air!! Let me start by saying Tanmax you are lucky to have such an exceptional employee. I was in last weekend and Lexi was helping me I accidentally overpaid by quite a bit, immediately Lexi noticed and handed me the money that I overpaid, then when I was finished tanning she handed me more money back because she and I both calculated incorrectly. I'd like to think that most people would do the same but unfortunately, that is not always the case. Not only is she honest, but she is always friendly, confident in her abilities and I would be proud to have her working

Tanmax is great for the budget tanner. If you are low on cash and need some UV rays, this is the place. They have super low rates and always have space available. No waiting and zero upsale harrassment. They have only standups. I've used tanning salons in the pre-summer time for probably 15 years, and this is the only place I have left everytime smelling like burnt hair. I'm not sure if it's because they use cheaply intense bulbs, but I experienced this continuously (and I am not a hairy person LOL - I do have fine baby hairs - but granted, I have never experienced this at any other

Love this place! Staff is super friendly and helpful,
and they have new client deals for a spray as little as 5 dollars and a uv tan for a dollar! The spray machine has a voice talking you through everything making it super easy to follow, and it comes on even and natural. The monthly memberships are affordable and the salon is always kept neat and clean. Wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Cheap and quick tans. I use the spray primarily and avoid the UV lights. They have the Mystic spray tan system and the Norvell (which I think is much better).
The girls who work the front are pretty ditsy and always on their phone or watching TV when I walk in though. Usually they have a friend hanging out in the lobby talking to them and it's awkward when they won't stop gossiping to said friend to address the actual customers who come in.
