Toney ACE hardware became a member of the Franklin County business community in 1991 when we opened our first store in Louisburg. The Toney family had been involved with Toney Lumber Company since 1963 and Toney ACE gave them the opportunity to interact with the community in the retail arena! We opened our second store in Youngsville in 2008.
Each store has its own "feel"; each with its own unique personality. For example, Louisburg has a small engine repair shop which services repairs for both locations. In addition, the Louisburg location sells treated lumber and bulk mulch, rock and sand (with free local delivery). In Youngsville, we sell Benjamin Moore paints, you can get your hunting and/or fishing license or find a specialty flag or decorative mailbox covers under 'The Arbor.

We can mix paint to match the color of any item - just bring in a sample of the color you want to match.
In another effort to support Franklin County, we give discounts on bulk mulch to churches as well as annually supporting local organizations such as The Miracle League of Franklin County and The Person Place Preservation Society. The Miracle League of Franklin County is a baseball league for children with physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities.

We are a full service Southern States dealer and carry a large selection of feed and animal care products in both stores. In our Youngsville store, you have a choice of Purina or Southern States brand products.

I visited this store today around 1:10 p.m. I walked around the store twice. I was looking for some brackets to mount something. And it was obvious that I was looking for something.
I passed several employees. No one asked if I was looking for anything if I needed any help. No one! So after not finding what I was looking for I left.

I hate to write this review because I have shopped here since it opened, but I emailed the manager and he has not replied. My Mom's like new Stihl backpack blower would not run wide open at Christmas. I worked down at Jeffreys growing up on these things, so I diagnosed what was going on. I instructed her to take it Toney Ace to have it repaired, since they are the closest Stihl dealer. The blower needed the carb cleaned out and possibly a rebuild kit from sitting. The mechanic put on a bunch of parts not needed, a rebuild kit and THEN a new carburetor. He charged my Mom for all the parts he didn

Always friendly and helpful. Will greet you and walk you to your needs. They'll make sure you find what you're looking for. If they carry it, they'll find it for you. Check- out was speedy. Went to ACE in Louisburg today to purchase a wood boss chainsaw. No one came to assist. When I asked they said they would get someone? 10 minutes later walked out, drove to Wake Forest and got one from Town & Country. Superior service by Wyatt. Well worth the gas if thats how ya get treated in this town. Guess I’ll start shopping at Rustic, can’t hurt!

I took a lawnmower there for gear problems. They fixed the mower, but it didn't work properly when I got it home. Took it back and the guy repaired it on the spot. I don't expect people to get everything right first time all the time, but I do expect them to own mistakes and resolve them quickly. That is exactly what these guys did so I will definitely be going back.
