Since its formation in 2010, Dunes Law Firm has assisted thousands of clients in commercial and residential real estate closings, corporate and LLC matters, leases and other contracts, estate planning, probate and like kind exchanges. Founding attorney Thomas Stanley, a lifelong resident of Horry County, has been serving clients in Horry, Georgetown and Marion counties since 1998.

At Dunes Law Firm, we believe all clients should have an estate plan. At a minimum, the plan should include a Will, Durable Power of Attorney, and a health care directive. In many cases, these three documents are all the legal documents a client needs, and in other cases these documents serve as the foundation of a broader estate plan.
At Dunes Law Firm, assisting clients with the administration of an estate or trust after the death of a family member or friend is often one of the most challenging and rewarding areas of our practice. With over 20 years' experience, we understand the emotional difficulties faced by clients when a loved one has passed away, as well as the practical hurdles of tying up the loose ends of a life well lived.

They were slow and closing was delayed. They were rude and yelled at us when we asked what was going on with closing and reeiving our keys. Then tried to turn it around and say they were stressed when we are the clients and we are stressed with closing being deplayed by them for two days, sitting in a hotel and costing more money and now we can't have the keys until it records. They said they paid off a credit card and 6 weeks later when it hadn't been paid tried to say the credit card company probably was behind. Had to get them to reissue check and we had to pay for late fee. I will

Beware, This is a fact with a document to confirm. I was issued a check from Dunes law firm. The check needed to be reissued. I handed Dunes law firm back the original check. Dunes law firm charged me $40.00 for a stop payment of the original check I just handed them. They actually took the $40.00 out of the new check to make sure they could screw me out of the $40.00 . Some law firms want to squeeze everything last penny out of you. So moral of this story is make sure you look into your closing attorney. I have this documented in an email if you would like to see it. Just ask.

Yeah apparently they have an issue returning phone calls and answering phone calls
They will ask you a series of questions to screen your phone call and then they would put you on hold and then they would tell you that nobody is in at the moment when you're asking for two people nobody's in??
Very small office I'm sure that the screener the reception is already knows who's in but they're asking them whether or not they want to take the phone call which they always refuse and they never return your phone call back!!

Thomas and his team are great. He is so personable, which is such a blessing when it comes to dealing with any situation that requires an attorney.
