I called Cal Mantel to get some info on a new fire pit. The sales rep I spoke with didn't know anything about the model I was calling about, let alone how to even find it in his system. He said he would look into it and call me back. I expressed that we would want to get it installed asap and he said he understood. He never called back so I called them and left a voicemail about 4 or 5 days ago and still haven't gotten a callback. Very disappointing considering I'm a repeat customer even after my first unpleasant experience with a different sales rep. The end result of our first

New Install through Woodside Homes. Since it's warranty service, they treat like they're doing us a favor. Don't show up when schedule and don't bother to call you to reschedule. The builder has to chase them and then if show up early, and we're not home, they won't come back because they said "we're busy", so they won't respect the customer's time, lol

Mana is so awesome! He came to install a fan kit in our fireplace and he was extremely informative and thorough in explaining all the different aspects of how to maintain the fireplace. When I requested for a remote to be installed, he did that as well. Mana is friendly and professional, couldn't ask for a better technician!!

The two men that came to my house fixed our issues within 10 minutes. They were both very knowledgeable and explained the issue I had. They gave me great advise on how to properly care for my fireplace to prevent any issues in the future. They also went above and beyond by informing me I could go to the Cal Mantel website to possibly upgrade on accessories for my fireplace which I did not know I could do. I foresee myself using this companies service again. Thank you!

Contacted several places to repair our gas fireplace. They all charge about the same -- $185-$200 -- for a visit, cleaning and repair, with new parts extra. But most offered appointments 4-6 weeks out! California Mantel offered an appointment just a few days out. Their technician David did an excellent job! He was professional, proficient, personable, fast -- and left the fireplace itself looking better than when he arrived and the area around the fireplace spotless! He also offered some tips for keeping our gas fireplace running clean and efficient.
