The booster club is a 501 (c)(3) Florida not for profit corporation representing students and faculty of the Carwise Middle School's Performing Arts Department. We serve as the primary source of support for the band, orchestra, chorus and theater, through fundraising events, administrative assistance, and financial assistance for students in need.
We are dedicated to promoting excellence in academics through an appreciation and love of the performing arts. Our Mission Statement is simple, "Promote and enhance the performing arts education received by students at Carwise Middle School and to promote awareness of the important relationship between success in the arts and academics."

Services
The Carwise Performing Arts Department has grown from its inception in 1993 to a full time elective school program with rigorous standards. The department offers classes in band, orchestra, jazz band, chorus, and theater to the 350 plus students enrolled in the program. The band program and orchestra program have received numerous Excellent and Superior awards from the Florida Bandmasters Association and the Florida Orchestra Association.
The class will build on the basic skills from the semester elective and further develop acting skills. Although the semester-long elective is not a prerequisite, students without previous experience should have a strong commitment to the performing arts. The class requires the student to commit to a vigorous rehearsal schedule in the spring semester.
On Saturday, 8 Carwise students performed as part of the All State Treble Chorus and All State Mixed Chorus. A delicious dinner will be served from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Your servers will be 8th-grade performers who carry on a tradition at CMS. They will be dressed in their costumes and be in character so you may interact with your favorite performer during the meal.
We invite you to participate in a fundraising plan to help support our Performing Arts Department as our faculty and staff provide our students with a rewarding educational experience through music and theater. This year is filled with many exciting programs and competitions.
Financially we support fall and spring concerts, musical theater dinner production, county and state competitions, community service, travel and purchase of music, props and costumes. The theater production alone will cost approximately $10,000.00. The CMS Booster Club of the Performing Arts has pledged to support these goals, but we cannot do it alone.

Your booster club cannot exist without volunteers who support our students and faculty. Volunteers make a difference by helping students develop skills, knowledge and attitudes which improve the quality of their education. Volunteers also serve as a great role model for our students. We have numerous committees for Chorus, Band, Orchestra, Theater, Membership, Concessions, Sales and more. 2 hours a month would be HUGE!

I attended this school last year. I gave it 2 stars because of the lack of electives and the teachers not dealing with problems that the children have. First of all the kids at the school bully one another like crazy. There was so many fights I could not keep count! One kid was almost pushed off the balcony and he only got suspended for like 2 days. I don't completely dislike the school. The teachers are fairly GREAT! The children are not. It is Dirty and gross for the most part, the lockers are not clean, but I don't care about that. Now people ..... Sorry, the kids are soooo rude to the teachers
