Great news for residents of Ohio - if you cannot get to Klingshirn Winery, the wine can come to you. You can get home delivery to any addresses in the state of Ohio. Along the southern shore of Lake Erie, locally grown and blended newer hybrids were combined to bring you this newest wine selection from Klingshirn Winery.
Tasting notes feature robust berry aromas with complex red wine flavors, finished slightly sweet for a perfect balance. An excellent companion for red meats and spicy dishes. Stop by the winery to sample for yourself. Pinot Grigio is a vitis vinifera family grape which was grown on our farm from 1998 until 2014, at which point the polar vortex winters killed the vines.

My Husband and I love Chambourcin wine, we have been to a lot of wineries from Vermilion area and have not found one that comes close to the Chambourcin from Heinemans on Put in bay. That was until I discovered this winery! Lee has crafted a fantastic Chambourcin that tastes very close to our favorite! I will be buying from here on a regular basis! I no longer have to wait to go to put in bay to have my favorite wine!

The wife and I visited here on our Wine and Chocolate trail, at first I wasn’t sure about the place but once inside you fine a very friendly staff, very knowledgeable about their wines. Their wines are outstanding especially the cherry wine, everyone needs to visit these folks and try their wines....

Love this place! Small, out of the way but with much history!
We've been by on two occasions and with both tastings, we left with some mighty fine wine.
Love the doggies; very friendly. Prices on wine are AMAZING!!!
It looks like from the pics below, they hold events but on both occasions, we were not there during warm weather.
If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the tasting room is super tiny with no sitting. Maybe that's on purpose? Maybe to keep people from sitting around drinking too much?? Small, dark, dusty type of room.
But you couldn&apos

This place is fantastic. After a failed attempt at trying wine at John Christ Winery (see my review on their page), I stopped in here for a tasting about 20 minutes before closing. What a pleasant surprise. The owner/winemaker was really welcoming and knowledgable and talked about all the wines during the tasting.
If you are in the area, you must stop in for a tasting and pick up some good, local wine.
And they have two, friendly dogs that are eager to welcome you! What a great place.

Being new to the area we were happy to see a Summer Steak Cookout at a winery. The winery is a bit rundown, and sadly we weren't fans of the wine. It is just too sweet for us. The Steak event was very nice, with T-Bone steaks, potatoes, green beans, salad and dessert. The music was fantastic. Very nice event that I would attend again, just wouldn't drink the wine.

There are two wineries in Avon Lake, and this is the so-much-better of the two.
Firstly, the service. The woman who served us was an absolute peach. She was able to juggle up to seven customers in the tiny shop, pouring tastings and ringing up orders while making an effort to talk to everyone. She was able to offer suggestions and comments on all the wines, and made everyone feel very welcome.
The wine is.... good. Not Californian or Chilean or French good, but interesting and varied. The ice wines were super sweet, and the concords and roses were full of flavor without being too cloying. Most

This place is quaint and unassuming and I think that really helps them turn out quality wine. Or, it might be the fact that they've been around since 1935. Either way, they're doing something right because the wine here is really good, some of the best I've had in Ohio. They're a little heavy-handed with the white wines but for red lovers they offer Cab Sauv, Cab Franc and Chambourcin as well as a smattering of rose. Almost all of their whites are good, with the exception of the Chardonnay. Flat and entirely way too much oak. Skip it. Their best whites, imo, are the Golden
