Hi, I am Nok, a licensed massage therapist, a reiki practitioner and the owner of Mantra Karuna. One guest at a time, I delivered an exceptional experience for guests. I believe in the power of human touch. What's in a name? Mantra Karuna. Karuna in Sanskrit means compassion. My interpretation of Mantra Karuna is healing with compassion.
When I created Mantra Karuna, I wanted to create a name that reflected service philosophy. Each of the guests have their own unique stories and why at Mantra Karuna, it's so important to listen, to understand with compassion and create customized, result-driven treatments in a tranquil environment for the guests.

Had an amazing massage experience at Mantra. My boyfriend purchased a couple's massage for us on Christmas Eve. The waiting area is a cute outdoor patio surrounded by different plants and greenery. I already felt more relaxed being in nature.
Both masseuses were extremely professional and wore masks. They asked which areas we wanted them to focus on and did a great job finding all our knots and tight muscles. Our 60-minute session went by too quickly!

I had such a wonderful experience at Mantra Karuna. I woke up with terrible upper back and neck pain, which seemed to trigger a painful migraine. I had been trying out different massage studios in the area and I had wanted to try Mantra Karuna.
It was easy to schedule an appointment through Yelp. I was even given the option to pay onsite, which is a plus if you want to use cash. There were places to park along the street and the entrance was easy to find.
The welcoming patio area was nice to wait in and I was greeted promptly after. The site is very clean and comforting.

One of the best massages I've had, I wished I made it for 90-min. A warm, inviting, peaceful atmosphere. The massage was the perfect pressure by expert hands. I loved that it wasn't too oily and a warm towel was used at the beginning and the end. Hot cups of tea were the best way to end the experience.

I came here this morning for a 60 minute massage and reiki session. Exceeded my expectations. I left feeling like all the anxiety and stress I've had stored up in my body just leave. I live in Signal Hill but have been on a little self care vaca and this was the icing on the cake.

Came here because I saw all the 5 star reviews and now I understand. I would rate this place 10 stars if I could! I will definitely be telling everyone I know about this place and Nok. The best massage of my life, not kidding. I came in last week for a soul special- 75 min massage including reiki and added hot stones. Nok was so welcoming and I could tell within the first few minutes that it would be a great experience. Nok is a true healer and wants to help others. The room was very relaxing and the vibrations were high. THANK YOU so much and I can't wait to come back!

Rusty was over extended but still found a way somehow to answer my need for immediate help. He didn’t need to do this, but lucky for me he was the kind of person who pays attention to an individual client’s needs more than just making sure his calendar is full. Made a big difference for me.

I went to the group Reiki and meditation class held by Mantra Karuna's lovely owner, Nok. Before this I had not heard much about Reiki, or really energy healing in general, but all I needed was an open mind and to be ready to relax.
At the group reiki and meditation session, there were yoga mats available for everyone to use, pillows to sit on or rest your head, and a fresh cleansing of the air at the start of the session.

I can not put into words how appreciative I am that I found this place! I went in for a 90 minute grief massage and reiki treatment, per my doctors orders. I'll be honest I was a bit skeptical at first. Nok was my therapist; She was fully thorough in explaining everything to me and I did not feel rushed. The environment is so loving and healing - and it is welcoming - they even have a garden center right outside, perfect for meditation (which I got a chance to do later on during the full moon mediation. AMAZING! And the meditation is free! It's the first and third Wednesday every month

I came here for a prenatal massage at 39 weeks and out of the few I’ve received my whole pregnancy, my experience at Mantra Karuna takes the cake!! The studio ambience is so warm and relaxing. It smelled heavenly and put me at ease. The massage bed set up was the most comfortable I’ve been in with my pregnant body and I was so at peace and relaxed throughout my 90 minute massage. She gently hit every ache and pain without it being too much. I left my massage session in complete bliss and no pregnancy aches or pains!! I’m now a little over 40 weeks and she squeezed me into her massage schedule

This is a wonderful healing center that offers a range of amazing treatments. I love the beautifully appointed garden entrance and Nok's touches of ancient Thailand to add to the healing experience. You are greeted with the same kindness and care as any high-end spa experience, but Mantra Karuna offers a very unique blend of focused expertise to heal whatever ails you. I have also attended some of the group events on week nights (group reiki and meditation) that have really helped my healing journey.

I’m one that loves a deep tissue massage, because of that I was skeptical about prenatal massages. Many people told me during a prenatal massage they hardly touch you...I figured I’d give it a shot. Multiple women recommended Nok for prenatal massage and I was sold once I read her reviews. I’m so grateful I took the chance and booked Nok. Her hands were healing hands on my body. My experience was incredible. The room was calming the moment I walked in and Nok asked me which areas I’d like he to focus on and delivered. I highly highly recommend Nok. I will 100% be back.

I had the most wonderful experience. I felt so much love during my massage with Nok and walked away feeling hopeful, refreshed and with a bit of homework to work on opening my blocked heart chakra. I had to try so hard not to fall asleep because I wanted to enjoy every moment of my massage! I was so relaxed, heated massage table, attention to every body part including my poor feet!
Nok had everything set up so serenely, and I don't know what candle or incense or oil she had scenting the room but it was heavenly. I left in a completely relaxed daze. Will absolutely be back.

Excellent massage! I will definitely be back. My fiance and I got Groupons and decided to give this place a try since it's near our home. Due to COVID, our appointments were postponed, but Nok was very communicative and allowed us to extend the offer until she was allowed to operate safely again. The room was very relaxing and she played soft music. We got Swedish massages and it really helped relieve some of my upper back tension. My fiance loved his massage as well. She gets busy, so I recommend booking in advance if you have a specific date/time in mind. Thank you, Nok for the relaxing

Nok is kind, thoughtful, and has healing hands. Her prenatal massage was soothing and helped my lower back pain and sciatica so much! I fall asleep every time and wake up light as a cloud. She makes sure your body is supported in the right places in pregnancy and is at a reasonable price point. I definitely recommend her for prenatal massage.

These are THE best massages I’ve ever had. I have a lot of aches and pain from repetitive stress injury so i try to come around often.
Now that I’ve moved I’m willing to drive an hour for a quality massage instead of wasting my time trying to find someone closer. I’ve tried many others before and i know when you find a good one you hold on.

I loved everything about this massage. Online booking was easy, very user friendly and hassle free. Google maps took me to the place without any pains and found parking right away. The moment you walk into the building you can hear soothing sounds and smell nice essential oils. I was able to let go for those 60 minutes and think about nothing other than how good I was feeling. Highly recommend it!
