Peter's Custom Tailoring is not your ordinary tailor shop. Sisters Henrietta and Tina are skilled practitioners of a time-honored craft. From simple things like hemming a skirt or a pair of pants, to more delicate tasks like restructuring an expensive men's suit or altering a one-of-a-kind wedding gown, these dedicated sisters bring their expertise to every garment that comes into their shop.
That's why they have so many happy, repeat customers from Swampscott, Marblehead, Nahant and all over Boston's North Shore.

Services
The story of Peter's tailoring began in a small town in Italy. From the time they were little girls in their native town of Avellino in the Campania region of southern Italy, sisters Henrietta and Tina were already playing their mother's sewing machine like a musician plays a fine violin. After working for some of the most celebrated Milan fashion houses, the sisters emigrated to America, eventually settling in the Boston area.
We bring years of experience to our work and take enormous pride in what we do. But our most important goal is to make sure you're happy. We want each and every one of our customers to leave our shop with a perfectly fitting, expertly tailored garment and a smile on their face. Come to us for all your alteration needs and see why we are the number one Swampscott tailor.

I cannot say enough for Henrietta's outstanding customer service. From the time of the consultation to the finish product, this is an experience you don't want to MISS. Henrietta and her sister have a life time of experience that you don't see anymore. A mom and pop business that has been pleasing customers throughout the North Shore. My daughter recommended her to me and I am honored to be able to have such a service available to me. Its like being in Italy getting the REAL DEAL.
Thank you Henrietta for creating such an amazing experience and offering the finest amenities to ALL your customers

Henrietta is wonderful. I needed a bunch of suits done a week long work conference for a new job. Henrietta was personable, professional, and did the work even though I had a short time frame. She even met me at the shop after she had closed to give me the suits so I would have them for the conference. Class act, and good work at a fair price. Would absolutely recommend!

I used to go to Peter's Tailoring for years when it was located in the burned down building across the street from the beach. I was happy to find out it moved to this new location. I was so disappointed when I visited! The men who worked at the old place are no longer there. They were very professional and have been doing all my tailoring for 10 years. This new lady is very rude, which I would not care about if she did good work. However, the way she proposed to do the work is unprofessional and even she said it would look very bad (jeans alteration). When I told her that this is not how jeans

Peter's Tailoring is my go-to tailor store and I cannot say enough wonderful things about them. The owners are friendly and extremely experienced. I always feel confident that my clothing or anything I bring to them will be handled with care and precision. Their prices are competative as well. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a high quality, local and friendly tailor.

Horrible service!!! In short, there are multiple problems with that business: price, customer service, work quality. Now in details...
The price is steep. The cost to cut some length of a dress is $45, which is about twice the average alteration places charge. As a first time customer my wife assumed it's a classy place, worth the price, so she expected high quality work.
When we came back to pick up the dress the lady was really rude because we crossed the line between customer area and the actual sewing, which wasn't clearly identified. We actually did that because we were ignored by the same
