I usually do not have time to write reviews, but I am making time to talk about Arturo and Galaxy Fence. What a wonderful man. I called on the phone, they actually answered (if I get a machine I just hang up, no time for messages), made an appointment, he showed up on-time, got my bid, I added more work to my bid and got a very reasonable price. Made an appointment for him to repair/replace approximately 3 1/2 sections of property line fence. He did not try to sell me anything I did not need or tell me the whole fence needed replacing. I agreed to his price and set a date. Guess what, he showed

Galaxy Fence built us two fences and one gate, for a price that merited the work and service provided. They were a bit more pricier than other nearby companies, but the finished product and durability was well worth it; my husband and I wanted a fence and gate that would last more than 30 winter seasons, and not just a handful.
We had a third fence that also fell down, but our neighbor that shares that particular fence with us, wanted a company that would charge the very cheapest price- the cheaper the better. We settled with another

Arturo and his son replaced & repaired my backyard fence. I had the unique opportunity to see him work on 2 sides of my fence while another one (shared with another neighbor) was repaired by a different company (my neighbor's choice). I'm very satisfied with his work. Having 2 companies' team work on different sides of the fences on overlapping days was an interesting perspective.
The only (small) con: Compared to other companies I asked for quote, his business seem small enough that he doesn't have a full time person handling phone calls, emails, and texts. This means

Arturo came over and gave a great quote, I wanted a horizontal cedar fence installed. He said he was busy, there was a lot of rain-he called about 6 weeks later to setup the job. I had gotten a few quotes and knew the price of the lumber he quoted was cheaper than I found myself. Somewhere along the line Arturo figured it out too since he tried to change the price after giving a written quote-and even tried to steer me to cheaper lumber. He tried to tell me lumberyards don't sell cedar wood anymore. Laughable. We negotiate again to the same price and lumber. He shows up on a Monday to start

Arturo is an absolute ace. Quality work, from a highly experienced professional and all-around good guy - at a fair price. New fences around 2/3 of my property just installed, cost no more than a will-not-be-named big fence company from San Leandro that my neighbors used a couple of years ago for a similar board-on-board style fence section - and that one is already sagging due to shoddy, rapid construction.
My new redwood fences from Galaxy are as solid as they come and look great. Arturo was great to work with, very honest and clear up front about everything, and worked around my specific requirements

Actually, I want use no star. I saw nice comments, so try to set up estimate - 1st I was told to call back after 2 weeks; then using their website, no call back; using link from Yelp to set up appointment, got call back and set the time, take time off to wait at home, finally, NO SHOW, NO CALL. Nothing.
I would think, simply told me they are busy and to find other company will be fine.
(I usually like to have few estimate to compare & select)
