We have a large rental department including a full range of Men's and Women's 8mm Wetsuits.
Tanks available for rental include HP Steel 80's, 100's and 120's. Smaller tanks are available upon request. We offer both DIN and Yoke valves. All our regulators are equipped with dive computers. PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center and offer recreational dive training at all levels from beginning Open Water through PADI IDC Staff Instructor, including Specialty Instructor and EFR Instructor.

With over 4,000 dives in the books, James has been actively involved in the underwater realm since he got certified in 2007. An IDC Staff Instructor, James is passionate about sharing his love and knowledge of SCUBA with others. Having traveled all over the world to dive, he still finds Monterey diving to far exceed even the most sought after dive sites worldwide.

After completing the online requirements, my daughter and I earned our open water portion of PADI certification thru Aquarius Dive Shop. Dane was very helpful getting this arranged as we were traveling from Oregon with a narrow time window. Our instructor was Will Marciano, and he was GREAT! A wonderful combination of knowledgeable, patient, and fun to be with. Everyone we encountered at the shop was kind and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I had a great time diving with Will over a couple of days in November 2021. The first day was a refresher course at Breakwater and the next day was Monastery Beach. I found Will careful, thorough, helpful, polite, and knowledgable. This is not tropical diving -- it was great to be with someone who knew what he was doing.

My brother and I needed to get our PADI dry suit diver certifications in advance of a trip to Iceland, and booked through Aquarius. It was a great experience- they were super accommodating with the dates, even after plans changed on my brother's end. James did a great job fitting my rental suit, and my instructor Nick Powell was phenomenal. He recapped the course material I had read in advance, to make sure I had all of my questions answered. Then went for a couple dives at Breakwater to practice skills I might need to take care of potential problems. We repeated the drills as many times as I needed

My first time walking in I was greeted by the whole gang. Dane was the Man in helping me out with my selection process to get me ready for my open water testing that I would be completing a week later. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me select the right gear for my future needs. Super fast and easy to rent from these guys, prices are standard. Their website for reserving gear is so easy, it took 5 minutes to reserve gear for 3 people. The pick up was a breeze, everything was ready and in bins for the car. The return took less than 10 minutes, the staff just took inventory and then they rinsed the gear--how awesome is that! Great shop and staff, I won't go anywhere else.

Love love this dive shop. Everyone always has such a great attitude and willing to help. I took the open water, nitrox and the advanced open water courses here with John Jack as the instructor. I was always afraid of the ocean and considered myself a weak swimmer so I went into the class with a lot of anxiety. But John Jack was great at simplifying everything and gave great examples. He was always ready to answer questions and did an outstanding job organizing the dives and skills. Also very accommodating and had a fun and easy going attitude that encouraged independence but also exercised safety

Highly recommend this spot! My daughter and I attempted our first real dive today after getting certified 3 years ago. Needless to say... we were bumbling beginners who really didn’t know what we were doing. Everyone at the shop was super friendly and very helpful! Our dive master, Mike, was understanding and his wife came with us for an extra hand. They were both very supportive and super cool. We had some issues and couldn’t equalize so had to cut the dive short and it was no problem for them. Great shop! Great staff!

Ended up walking by there today by chance & noticed they where having an inventory sale?!😳 How come I didn't hear about this on nextdoor.com? They had some AMAZING deals & prices on wetsuits & ALL diving gear gadgets & things!
However since this was a 2 day weekend event, I wasn't able to find a suit that fit but if I had it would've been less than $30💰😳🤫

This review is solely about the customer service at Aquarius dive shop.
My husband and I had planned to go scuba diving Valentine's Day weekend. We had scheduled everything and then on Thursday night before our getaway, our senior dog took a sudden turn to the worse and had to be put to sleep Friday morning. We were of course devastated.
We called the dive shop first thing Friday morning, and they were incredibly compassionate and understanding.
Without hesitation they offered to rebook or refund us, and we will be rebooking. I cannot wait to go diving with you, and my family is incredibly

Had such a great time on our second private tour with Nick! The staff are great and got us geared up quickly! We felt like we were in great hands with Nick who knew the best places to go and made sure we spotted some great wildlife! I highly recommend Aquarius Dive Shop and a tour with Nick, you won't be disappointed! Monterey diving is incredible, there is so much to see!

Great dive shop! The staff are truly the best. I did my open water here in 2018 and fell in love with diving after diving Monterey. The staff are super knowledgeable and will do whatever they can to ensure that your diving experience is the best. The club dives are also great and a good way to meet fellow divers as well as discover new sites. I cannot recommend Aquarius enough!

We booked the last two spots of this November open water class session and did our dive class during Thanksgiving holiday. Brian and Dave were the instructors of our pool session, Brian and John were the instructors of our ocean dive session. All the instructors are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Though the experience with this dive shop was amazing, the water was super cold for me (~50F/10C). Though we were in 5 mm wet suit, and it sounds cool to get certified in ~50F water, I would recommend coming here at a warmer time if you are sensitive to cold water.
