The bustling, administrative center of Phuket is often overlooked in favor of the beaches, but there's a lot to see and do (and spend your money on!) in Phuket City. Having been recently upgraded to city status, Phuket City features an exciting mix of old and new, simple and sophisticated, peaceful and pulsating.
The Ministry of Public Health has provided the first Hyperbaric chamber in Phuket, located at Vachira Phuket Hospital. This is used for accidents which can occur during diving and is also used to treat other illnesses which require Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy.
The division of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine at Vachira Phuket Hospital are on duty all hours for Decompression illness without delay for the best chance of recovery with no residual damage.Nursing staff are present inside the chamber take care the patient for the emergency life support.

We do recommend that you bring a wet suit or skin suit (lycra). Especially if you are joining one of our liveaboard cruises. Heat loss can lead to cramps & exhaustion. Wet suit will also protect you from brushing against coral & rocks as well as stings from Jellyfish. You should take the normal precautions as on any other foreign holiday.

The guys are the most warming, helpful, competent and encouraging people I have met in a long time. They are all just so exceptionally nice! We had a great day on refreshers as well as a longer dive from the boat at a beautiful island site. We cannot wait to go back.

The staff at West Coast Divers are very accomodating, they are multilingual and provided a dive briefing in Spanish, German, and English. Captain Mark ensures everyone has fun, but also stays safe. During my first dive at Punta Susu on 17 August my regulator had a lot of water leaking inside and made it difficult to breathe. Right there on the boat Mark immediately disassembled the regulator, checked the diaphram, o-rings, springs, and then found a half-cut mouthpiece. He had spare parts and immediately fixed it and I was back diving in the water. Thanks Mark! Dive guide Daniel is excellent as

Yet another great diving experience with West Coast Divers. 2 Great dives from the boat last Thursday with my son James. We have dived with this very friendly and professional team over the last few years and in fact my son qualified for his Open water certification 4 years ago at the age of 13 with these guys. He's now 17 and an Advanced diver. We highly recommend Marc and his team who provide a 1st class service and put the fun back into diving! Great location, Great facilities.

The school is overall good, but they could improve some things. Positive: they are really well equipped and flexible in planning your diving course or fun dives. Negative: my instructor unfortunately was not so friendly and competent in the know-how of the advance open water course, I felt a lack of teaching skills. German is the main language of this school.

Fantastic, very professional & friendly dive centre! My partner, Steven has dived with West Coast Divers 5 times in the past week (1 was a night dive) & thoroughly enjoyed every dive. We were able to book, plan & pay for the dives before we flew out to Majorca which was great. Steven was asked to bring a medical certificate with him to produce before his first dive which we thought was extremely thorough. We were even more impressed with the decision made by the dive instructors to cancel a cave dive because the morning group weren't capable of it. That shows it's 100% safety first which is awesome
