There are many common health conditions in older adults that do not fit into distinct organ-based disease categories and often have multiple causes. The list includes conditions such as impaired memory and cognition, incontinence, appetite changes, falls, mobility, sleep disorders, fatigue, dizziness, and decreases in hearing, sight, and speech.
Older adults are a diverse population. Some people may be living with emotional or mental health concerns that began early in life, while others may be experiencing struggles for the first time. Our licensed psychotherapists are trained to support a wide range of emotional needs, including but not limited to: depression; anxiety; grief and loss; insomnia; adjustment to new and changing environments and body.
Currently only the Pfizer vaccine is approved for a booster dose, at least 6 months after completion of the original vaccine series. Some of you have asked us if you can get a Pfizer booster if your first vaccine series was Moderna. First of all, please know that your Moderna vaccine is still very effective at preventing severe illness based on the data that we have.
