A filling is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. If you have a tooth that requires a filling, the dentist will first remove the decayed tooth material, clean the affected area, and fill the cleaned-out cavity with a filling material. This filling will help prevent further decay by closing off any cracks or spaces where bacteria might enter.
Dental sealants are a thin plastic coating that is applied to the chewing surfaces of molar teeth to protect against tooth decay and cavities. Sealants protect these vulnerable areas from tooth decay by "sealing out" plaque and food. Applying sealants is a simple and painless process. Sealants are generally places on the tooth in liquid form and then cured either chemically or with light activation.
Halitosis is the sophisticated word for "bad breath." Bad breath caused by bacteria in the mouth can be easily treated. Brushing your teeth, tongue and gums after meals as well as flossing and rinsing with mouthwash will usually take care of the problem. I’ve had my teeth cleaned twice now and both experiences were extremely pleasant (and also during a pandemic!). Everything was very cleaned and everyone wore masks. They have a great system of having patients wait in the parking lot to be screened. A woman named Linda cleaned my teeth and was so kind and encouraging! I had some concerns about an issue and I felt heard and respected and though Dr. Davenport didn’t know how to address it, she made a referral. Thanks for making my day!

I've been seeing Dr. Davenport for nearly five years and she's a very kind and skilled dentist. The office is clean, the hygienists are pleasant, and the location is prime. Parking, however, can be a little tight. Unfortunately, the relationship had to be terminated due a billing dispute for $165. Long story short, last year my employer auto-enrolled me in an HMO, and I didn’t know I had to opt in to a PPO. Because of this honest mistake on my end, I ended up being compelled to pay the full amount despite explaining to them the unfortunate circumstances around the issuance of the bill. I have

I went to a dentist close to home for years. My dentist was in the process of retiring and Dr. Davenport came out to his office a few days a week. I met Dr. Davenport there and loved her. Melanie was the dental assistant we had used for years and she was Dr Davenport's assistant when she was there. When Dr. Davenport left we were so sad and didn't know who we would use. After using Dr. Petznick for all of my life, the thought of another dentist was not exactly what I wanted to hear. After the practices merged and I began using Dr. Davenport, I immediately knew that all was well with my dental care. I must admit to being spoiled by having such excellent care through the years and it's really great to know that I will continue to have the same excellent care from Dr. Davenport. Dr. Davenport and her staff are fantastic. They are very kind and knowledgeable and gentle--which is VERY important when working on your teeth! She is also honest about the health of your teeth and does not make up things that need to be done, when they really don't. This has happened to me in another office! I had an overall wonderful experience and could not recommend her more. I have found my dentist for life!

Dr. Davenport's office is lovely, clean, and inviting. The staff make you feel comfortable and at ease and I have had no wait time for my scheduled appointments which allows me to return to work in a timely manner! They were even able to squeeze me in for a filling after my last cleaning as it is difficult for me to take off work. Their hygienist was skilled and lovely to work with and both Drs. provide efficient and thorough work. I highly recommend them!
