Preventative Dentistry

It is important to brush your teeth at least twice daily to help remove plaque and food particles that get stuck to your teeth. It is recommended that you brush your teeth for two minutes (or longer), though most people rush through this time. You need to make sure that you reach every side of each tooth, including the inside and outside.

Root Canals

Root canals are needed when decay and bacteria spread for too long without treatment. At a certain point, this decay makes it to the pulp inside the tooth. This pulp includes nerves, therefore infection generally causes a lot of pain. Since this is happening on the inside of the tooth, you won't necessarily see the damage.
Extractions

An extraction is performed to remove a tooth, whether because of disease, crowding, or damage. When extractions are required, the area around the tooth will be numbed and your dentist will remove the tooth. A small amount of bleeding is normal, as your mouth will replace the removed tooth root by forming a blood clot in the area.

My family has been with Dr Ariani for almost 3 years and we are extremely happy with him. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field and is very specific with his recommendations. He goes out of his way to help his patients: looked at our 10 yr old sons x-rays and teeth for free (as a second opinion). Never up sells his service. Would highly recommend.

I had to visit Dr. Ariani on an emergency appointment. He and his staff were very accommodating, as usual, and graciously took care of my immediate need. This is their usual. Their office is always immaculate, clean and welcoming. Their service is next to no other. When I arrive for my appointment, I usually don’t get to sit in the waiting room, I’m generally immediately escorted to the service room. And, they get right to business. In and out and never rush with the right results.

Let me start by saying I am a nervous wreck when it comes to going to any doctor, especially the dentist. My first visit with Dr. Ariani was awesome. He was so welcoming and took time to get to know me and ensure that we put my anxiety at ease. I made an appointment to come back for fillings and it was the first time I didn’t dread going to the dentist. Dr. Ariani has helped me overcome my fear of dentists ! Throughout life I've dealt with tooth pain and cavities trying to avoid going to the dentist . His compassion for his job is truly shown at each visit and his calming demeanor helps me trust him and relax every time I go ! He always explains what he is doing and why he is doing it. I have big huge lifetime phobia of the dentist and a whole lot of dental work to be done, and I'm so, so glad that I went to Dr. Ariani to begin this process. I was referred to Dr. Ariani by a friend who works close by his office. She told me that Dr. Ariani cares enough to explain to her various options when it comes to dental care. My previous dentist seemed to like to do everything with a rootcanal that i hate. Setting up appointment was very easy, office is modern and has plenty of parking away from Tysons crazy traffic. From now on, Dr Ariani is my dentist !!!

I have a phobia for going to dentist which as you can imagine have taken its tool. Finally asked around and was told to go and try Dr. Ariani as he takes his time and would put me at ease.
He truly took his time with me during several sessions that I have had with him. Needless to say I needed A LOT of work to be done but it seems that when a dentist cares to do it right and put you at ease, its not a big deal to go Dentist anymore!..
